So today my brain went 'click' and I remembered something. Now this is going to be an incredibly long shot but I may just be able to get my hands on some porn of the gods..
The story goes like this...
In 2000 I was in my heyday, what I will refer to as my "Champagne and caviar" days. I was working earning a good crust and at the time I lived with my mother rent and bill free. Well, not strictly, I paid the cable and the phone lines (we needed two 'cos I was on the net 24/7).
Any way,I was pretty well off when it came to cash and these would have been the last days where I went for the very fastest hardware money could buy. The rig I built was a culmination of the absolute most expensive components money could buy.
The rig itself just screamed "I am rich" consisting of...
IBM Intellistation Z pro workstation.
Intel MS440GX "Marlinspike" motherboard dual slot 2 (not to be confused with slot 1 for normal CPUs)
Dual P3 Xeon 1mb 500? or 550? it's been a while...
128 or 256mb SDRAM running 133.
3DFX Voodoo 5 5500 PCI
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz PCI sound card (£130 in their day, the ultimate)
Hard drives - Unknown
CDRW - Unknown (it's been 14 years !)
Now last year at some stage I got in touch with the guy I had sold it to. Apparently it still existed, along with all of the boxes for the parts
I asked him if I could have it, he said of course, yes. So I contacted his dad where the PC was situated but in the end my cousin (who lives in London and was supposed to collect it for me) let me down and it never happened..
I completely forgot about it until this morning, so I have contacted the guy again through Facebook.
Wish me luck fellas, this could be among the highest old skool porn this forum has ever clapped eyes on.
The good part is I might be able to have it with me some time next week providing he hasn't thrown it out. I can't see why he would, given that his dad kept it for so long..
All I can do is pray
