Hey guys, this is a topic for all of us to post our workout routines. Please post your age, sex, and how much progress you've gotten from it.

Age: 14

Sex: M

Routine:

3 Reps of 50 for:

Crunches (Obliques)

Crunches(Abs)

Push ups

Dumb bell curls

I try to get in an hour of running everyday or 45 minutes of basketball it depends.

Progress:

4 Pack stomach

Nice sized biceps for my age

Beat lots of people in arm wrestles xD

Can throw a football pretty far :P

Overall I'm happy with my routine. It takes time but when you see the changes in your body and physical performance I think it's way worth it. :D

Remain there enless Ive got something worthwhile to do

Progress:

Not fat - Does me fine tbh

:D

Do you do this same routine everyday? If so, you need to do core exercises (staggered low reps with medium to heavy weight for size) and high rep/low weight (for cut). You'll also find that you need to have a variety of exercises, and attack on each muscle group in order to grow. The human body has an amazing ability to be able to cope with minimal amount of mass, and with enough in reserve for next time. Every time you train effectively you destroy muscle tissue, which your body needs to replace.

You will find that your body functions very economically, and will only increase mass according to the workload that you are doing, and then a little bit more for 'just in case'. Essentially what I'm saying is that you have to train the smart way by keeping your body guessing all the time. But don't overtrain...or your workout will be pointless and you will reduce in size. Have you ever heard of the matrix principle? There is a book out on it, and it's an extremely good read. If you want some info or more tips, feel free to ask. I used to weight train for many years, so feel free to ask away. Oh btw, don't be suckered to go forcing bulk protein into your body either, for the workout you do the majority will go down the toilet, along with your money.

Darn teachers.

Nah j/p PV, I mean master. That;s a good point about not doing the same routine everyday, perhaps I shall switch it up. Thanks mate.

Below 16 you shouldn't be doing weights as it stunts your growth and gives you muscle problems in later life.

A healthy life of playing sports/swimming/soccer/squash etc will do you fine till your old enough to do weights.

Trust me I know, I trained under a professional soccer coach from 13-19yrs old :)

Age:17

Sex:M

Routine:3 games of Wii Boxing, a round of Bowling and some Baseball. jk I don't really work out, but am going to get into Kung Fu I think.

At the moment, I'm using the same routine, every other day due to a lack of facilities, but it's along the lines of this...

Bench Press

Guillotine Press

Power Lift

Military Press

Dumbbell Incline Press

Dumbbell Row

Squats

Calf Raises

And various others. It's good to stick to compound exercises, but isolations are useful (I'd throw in some wide grip pull ups and barbell curls if I could).

Well I'm at the ripe old age of 45. Yep, you heard it right 45 (Forty Five):D

And my workout routine is modelled on the Great British, tea drinking, working man.

Get up, have a cuppa.

F@rt, have a cuppa.

Get the mail, have a cuppa.

Turn the pooter on, have a cuppa.

Check e-mails, sort spam'n'trash, visit a couple of forums and visit the BBC news website, then have 2 cuppas as a reward for doing 4 jobs in a row without a break.

Have breakfast, with a cuppa.

Go shopping for more tea-bags & milk.

Come back, have a cuppa........

And so on;)

That sounds about right for me, bump the age down to 15 though.

Well it looks like I am the old geezer here

I am 47

My workout is travel and meeting new people

Physical activity is good pretty much no matter what you do.

But dont forget to get out and interact with other people.

In my travels I have learned different languages and now have a appreciation for

others.

That's only if you do heavy weights and maxout m8. It's been proven that not doing heavy weights causes no harm to a gorwing body. Dumb bells arent really considered heavy IMO, a bag of flower weighs 5 lbs less than the dumbbells I have so oh well.

edit: btw rugby scares the ^%&* outta me.

With all that padded protection etc :p

Arsenal 2 - 0 Liverpool w0o0o0o0o0o!!

Football (soccer) is my fav sport

and no I don't care about cricket PV and any other aussies in the house lol
