Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

This is why I don't miss being with a woman, Getting shouted at for spending MY hard earned money when it's perfectly fine for her to spend her money as she pleases.

My last girlfriend easily spent a £1000+ a month on herself, Clothes, Makeup, Shoes, Perfumes, Jewellery etc... but I dare spend £50 a month on myself and holy sh** all hell broke loose.

It's why I'm now happily single, Don't have time for women who think your bank account is their rightful property.
That's the crazy thing. She wasn't going out and buying handbags, shoes, etc, she just couldn't budget properly. When our daughter was born we agreed that I'd earn the money and she'd organise the life admin. Up to that point we'd never had an issue with money so I didn't think twice.

A few years later we're constantly hitting the overdraft limit no matter how much overtime I do. I eventually had enough (among other issues) and we decided to split up. Because of our daughter we still live together and share certain expenses but recently I adjusted my accounts so my money goes into my account rather than the joint one.

I pay a standing order into the joint account to cover all the bills for the house plus £100 a week for groceries (which is in my opinion excessive, but she'd argue blind otherwise). I even sweetened the deal by paying off the overdraft for her too.

Within a month she hit the overdraft limit again. I point blank refuse to bail her out again. She's going to learn the hard way to properly budget, meanwhile I'll keep saving my money for a deposit to move out and buying fun stuff. She can get as annoyed with me as she likes now, I'm beyond caring.

Hehe. That's half the fun. I'm pretty sure the last time I came home with a big PC purchase while I was still with my ex it was the "a friend from work let me borrow it". A few months later when she was asking about when he wanted it back it was "I haven't seen him for a while, but he's got my number when he wants it back".

While that was all technically true it was more of a try before you buy deal from the start. She never noticed that the random cash I was drawing here and there was paying for it before the guy got a new job.

Of course this was during the break up so I was lying to avoid unnecessarily horrible arguments, not because I was spending money I didn't have. She just liked to get upset with me whenever I bought anything expensive because she couldn't budget properly so the joint account was forever in the red; it was actually a massive contributor to our separation.

[EDIT] Sorry, that got unnecessarily miserable, I do apologise. I really hope you enjoy your new kit. I love my Vega 56 to bits so that 64 should do you well, just make sure you properly undervolt it to unlock it's true potential.

Just want to clarify myself. My partner won't actually have a go at me, we just have a laugh about it since she knows I budget well and never actually do anything without checking in advance. We also have a rule that as long as all the bills are paid each month, she doesn't complain about my games and computer bits as long as I don't complain about her books and her crochet. Fair deal in my view. Definitely going to undervolt it and everything. Going to wait until I've finished my final uni project before I put it in otherwise it'll never get done :D
I understand where you guys come from as well. My mum used to have a fit at my dad whenever he dared buy anything for his car. So he saved, went to work one morning (Which in fact he had the day off and went to a garage instead) and came home with new gear on the car already paid and installed so she couldn't stop him.
Also £100 a week groceries? That definitely is excessive. I spend that much a month. I get that you have a daughter but she wouldn't bump it up THAT much

I'm sticking with Nvidia for a good while, Not touching their 2000 series though as I have a 1080 Ti I can use, I decided to get myself a smaller monitor to add to my little collection as I have bad neck strain.

Must be in the air man !

I've got a bad neck too. I think it came from two weeks of sleeping in beds at fam's house and watching their TVs sideways lol.

Bad though, was proper hurting me last night !

I had it so bad once I had to be given liquid morphine. It really was truly awful :(

Good bit was they gave me far too much morphine so I then used it casually over the next 8 months or so lmao. I know I know, but I don't drink and blimey one sip of that stuff and you are off your tits :D

Thought you had a Titan Xp?

Thought you had a Titan Xp?

Sold it for my Texas travel fund, This is my cousins 1080 Ti and he is letting me use it until I go to Texas at the end of November, He did have SLI but it gave him more problems than it was worth so lent me his 2nd one until I go on my travels in 8'ish weeks.

What is he having problems with? My SLI has been working flawless so far. Im not even seeing those typical artifacts that would appear from SLI.

Aint got a scooby, I didn't question it too much when he said I could borrow 1 of his cards for 2 months ^_^

Just pulled the plug on a Ryzen 7 1700X from OCUK, as they have it for the same price as a Ryzen 5 1600X, £159 including next day delivery.

Streaming/Recording pc is slowly getting upgraded.

Now I have to make the decision.

Do I stick with the Ryzen 1700X as the recording/streaming machine or do I mix them all up and build a new gaming machine from both and then use the left overs to make the recording/streaming machine.

Spec's for the gaming machine are:

I7 7700K
32Gb Corsair 2400Mhz DDR4
Samsung 960 Evo 500Gb NVME
2x Seagate Barracuda 6TB HDD's
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti

Recording Machine spec's are currently:

Ryzen 3 1200
8Gb Corsair DDR4 cannot remember the speed
Gigabyte Windforce 1060 3Gb
WD Blue 500Gb SSD
Seagate 4TB HDD

Choices, choices, choices

Enjoy the stuff mate. Strix looks gorgeous :)
Aye thanks mate, that it is :) Got them delivered today so depending on when the new DisplayPort cables arrive I'll be getting pictures and benchmarks up.

Picked up 2 of these for some ultrawide goodness, It's going to take sometime to get used to these for the last seven been using 1440p mointors.

Nice! Would love some myself but the wallet says more important things first, it's still not speaking to me over my current escapades..

In the same boat with you as well but for entirely different reason. Mine's from having my head down checking prescriptions at work all day, I'm not used to it since I've got my system setup so I get good posture. When I got made to do the course as part of my IT GCSE I laughed it off but I do practice a lot of the principles now

A quick upgrade for me...

My Club3D 280X generously donated by TTL a while ago has seen better days and after numerous repastings is still showing artifacts under load at stock clocks, so it's time for it to go to Silicon Heaven and I'm replacing it with a Palit GTX1060 Super Jetstream, on sale at ebuyer for £235.

As well as that, my faithful Corsair Vengeance 1500 V2 is just not working properly either, Windows only sees it as USB speakers no matter what I do with the drivers, and I also want a wireless set so the Asus Rog Strix wireless headset will soon be hugging my head.

And I only had to shorten a single tube. Laziness FTW!

It's really good, Overclocks to 165Hz as well so if you play at 165FPS HOLY HELL it's sooooo smooth, Also as it's 1440P at 24" the picture is very crisp :)

That is the sex !

Got myself a GPU support bracket that has a little screw in rubber tipped block that attaches to one of the several available slots for the 1080 Ti as it has a little sag due to having a phat ass ^_^
