Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

My 4K Acer panel (XB280HK) has light bleed, and even in relatively dark games like Elite Dangerous, it's barely noticeable. I don't get why people complain about that, but I guess different things drive different people nuts.

Ok luckily the dell was actually out of stock so I changed my mind and went for the Acer X34P 120Hz, fingers crossed I get a good one.

Woop da !

Acer doesn't have issues. I've owned and recommended them to dozens of people and never once an issue of back light bleed or dead pixels on any range of monitor

Don't you mean, "My specific ACER monitor hasn't had any issues and my friends haven't complained about theirs?" If you mean what you said, "Acer doesn't have issues," you're totally wrong.

wicked alien that is just spiffy , also i love that old timey phone you got on your wall

Cheers. It's a very old timey building tbh. Built for the super rich, to look over a race course that hasn't been there for a hundred years. I only found out why they don't all face the sea last week, when the taxi driver told me about the race track.

New Chair coming, had enough of this DXRacer, its so incredibly sticky when its a bit warm inside and wanted something that breathes properly.

I know that real office chairs are boring, and at times they are not what you would consider the most comfortable either, but my back problems have vanished since I went onto proper purposely made chairs. Of course, it's not as comfy as sitting on a big padded seat, but then I don't get back pain either. Nice chair man, looks up to the task alright.

My latest purchase is dead exciting....

:D haha I'm such a Doris. Got down to the last one and figured I had better order them.

Keep us posted when it lands! I might pick up one of those since I'm finding my 28" 4k panel a bit small. The X34P doesn't seem to be available in Canuckistan yet. How new is this thing?

Going to be a boring fortnight haha. I have to stock up on all of the bits and pieces. I have a unmixed bottle of Strawberry Belts (laces) and have been enjoying two bottles on the go at once (so I don't get vaper's tongue).

Got some VG nic (better for sub ohm vaping it seems)

And some supplies. I use these for much more than vape mixing, they get used for plastic welding too etc.

I got 5 20ml. Still not confident in dropping the nic again, but will once the spring is here. I find winter terribly depressing.

It hath arrived, Acer Predator X34P :D

The Z35P is only $899 here. Really thinking about going to that. I've never used a VA panel before though. My current 27" IPS would be mounted above it. Is there a noticeable difference between the two?

I was looking at the Z35P as the only difference between the X34P and Z35P is 1 inch and VA instead of IPS but I prefer IPS so just paid the extra £100.

VA has deeper blacks but IPS has better colours and viewing angles from my experience, There is a bit of a noticeable difference between them but it's not a bad one, IMO neither is better than the other in the grand scheme of things.

I have a VA screen. It was sold to me as IPS (HP Envy 32) but was such a massive difference over my Acer TN that I forgave them for telling a white lie. I also now know that I could not go back to TN. Not ever. Oddly enough I am literally talking about this live with my friend on Skype as I type this. And I said that basically gaming was OK on a TN because you are sat up in your gaming position looking straight at it. However, for literally everything else it makes such an enormous difference it's not even funny. Web browsing, watching movies* and so on. All so much nicer on IPS or VA.

*I have a chair that has an exo skeleton and moves with me and when I am watching movies or Youtube I proper adopt the "Gangster lean" position. And it is then that I can see the enormous difference in brightness *plus* the contrast it needs to remain visible and not turn white etc. I did make sacrifices on my monitor. No G-Sync, 70hz max synced but those were the only two penalties. And one wouldn't have affected me much any way (if you drive Fallout 4 at higher than 70 FPS it behaves very badly) and the other I can just about live without, thanks to Fast Sync and Adaptive Vsync.
