You'll love that 6850K CPU. It's very civilized.

I'm kind of at odds whether I like MyProtein or not. I'm undecided. I've tried a few of their products so far and they're quite... commercialized. They send me offers every day warning me fervently, passionately that I have 5 hours to claim a 20% off voucher for artificially flavoured protein brownies, yet a few days later the code is back up again. Their products seem OK, but by no means are they the revolution everyone told me they were.

They suit my needs, High protein, Low carbs, Low fat, Added BCAA's, Added glutamine, All at a decent price, 5KG/10 pounds for £50 with free delivery is pretty damn good.

I'm finally doing it. Taking my Mike Buff off of those stupid bloody mags and am actually going to ride it.

Happy :D

A Xiaomi Mi Band 2 (with an extra, coloured strap). Need to get more in shape, so I figured getting a cheap fitness tracker couldn't hurt. Only $20 at AliExpress, and complete with step counter, sleep tracking, and even a heartbeat sensor (not sure if it'll be very accurate though).

Or you could go natural like me and save the money and still gain weight and get lean:)
I find anything to boost your ability to gain weight or help you lift weight to be cheating. I'd rather just eat right and put in more work

Cheating is using illegal substances. Suppliments are nothing wrong. Technically speaking, creatine is found naturally in food so there's no difference with eating regular meat or 5mg creatine per day. :)

It's helping me anyway, gone from 63kg to 85kg now. Loving it :)

Well protein powder is made from milk so that's as natural as it gets, The only thing I have that would be considered "cheating" would be BCAA's and glutamine which are naturally found in various foods anyway.

I live a fitness lifestyle, Body build etc...currently sitting at roughly 220 pounds and 15% bodyfat so eating right is necessary and cannot be avoided, To get the amount of protein I need on a daily basis that a protein shake offers me in whole food I would have a pretty bloated stomach 24/7 which would not be comfortable nevermind not exactly attractive ^_^.

Creatine is the worst of the bunch. As soon as you stop taking it you complety lose everything you gained and you feel like you can't lift as much. I even lost 10 pounds once I stopped taking it. It's basically all water weight. I'm stronger and more lean without it than when I was when I was taking it and I weighed less. I just find eating right is the only best solution. Whether you think a supplement isn't cheating or not I personally feel it is because you don't need it, it's just for faster results and from what I can see personally and with other people, as soon as you stop you lose a lot.

The only thing you lose when not taking creatine is a bit of water weight, If you keep your training schedule the same, Meal plan the same then you will not lose strength or muscle mass.

As I work in the fitness industry I hear so much of this misinformation that gets people panicked which in turn spreads like wildfire.

Also there's no such thing as faster results if you are drug free, Just more efficient results through correct training and correct nutrition.

I'm only telling you what I know through experience and what I see with other people. You can do correct training and nutrition without the need of supplements and still gain results. There's simply no need to add more bad crap into our bodies with all the stuff that's already added to our food

Personally I don't take anything apart from a basic multivit in the morning and drink some whey protein during the day to meet my protein requirements, Which is 220G per day which is tailored to my specific needs due to living a full on fitness lifestyle and not just going for a run once a week or maybe going to the gym once a week for 30 minutes but a full on fitness lifestyle.

You also have to remember that whey protein is just a milk product, It's not a bunch of chemicals or a steroid, It's actual food and putting fitness to the side it is used by many people who can't digest whole foods, Namely the elderly or disabled, My aunt used to be a nurse over in Hong Kong and very rich protein powder was a staple of many patients as it's a good clean source of nutrition.

I don't think protein powders are cheating. Some people need protein powders because they struggle to consume enough food to hit their 150g+ of protein in a day, especially if they are vegetarian or vegan, lactose intolerant, live very busy lives, on a budget, etc.

I supplement vegan protein powders (rice, pea, and hemp seed usually) in my diet as I eat mostly vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and legumes, and I can't always find the protein I need in the day (though mostly I can). While I only aim for around 50-60g of protein as I'm not active, I occasionally struggle to reach that without adding a spoonful of protein powder in with my smoothie or by swapping my fruit bar desert with a protein flapjack.

But if I were training, I would simply eat more food. Instead of having 350 calories of porridge I would have 500 calories. Instead of having 700 calories of a tofu stir fry, I would have 900. Instead of having one slice of sour dough bread, I would have two. I could double my protein intake easily if I were active and had the metabolism to use the extra calories to fuel my bodies' muscle repair.

Yep, Many people simply forget that protein powder is food ^_^

I know it's food, I'm just referring specifically to creatine and generally all the things like C4, etc that people use. My sister is a nurse and she has had a few patients before that had to have whey(or similar) protein, that's fine, but just for the sake of working out I am against anything but just food. Don't need powder, supplements, anything. Just food. Sure I won't get big as fast but idc, it's just how I want to be. If I want to get bigger I just eat more than normal. I'm doing just fine the way I do it:)
Now if people ask me what to get I always say whey protein, but do your research and talk to a nutritionist is always the best option. But I ALWAYS say stay away from Creatine and C4. Unless you want acne and water weight then go ahead... :p

I've been working the fitness industry as a personal trainer and sports nutritionist for roughly 6 years now and the only time I've ever seen someone have problems from supplements is when they go way WAY over board, The worst I've seen is someone having the extreme runs XD

When it comes to training though and if someone wants to actually get somewhere in building their body at least to me it makes no sense to short change yourself, Creatine mono can and does work, There are countless research papers on the subject, Although I'm no fan of pre-workouts like C4 etc... they are essentially just caffeine and others bits blended that end up making you shake.

<3 OCUK. I even got free shipping lmfao*

* I have an OCUK forum acc, so I get free shipping on anything. However, you can't Paypal out @ 0 because it errors so I bought a BP fitting for 99p in the sale :D

Still, it beat the £4.12 + £7 shipping Corsair wanted.

We now interrupt the health food discussion with a late breaking story about Santa Claus coming 6 months early to some horribly out of shape fat schmuck in Canada who couldn't hold out for Vega:
