Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Been a fun one today, started to put the monitors on the Arm only to drop one of them and smashed it

Thankfully I got the Scansure thing so 1 trip to Scan and replacement obtained.

Both now on the arm and connected but I still have some tweaking to do, got new Displayport cables coming later today and need to get some longer power cables so I can hide, them as currently the ones provided are not long enough to allow them to be hidden.

Not going to do much more today than tidying a few things away as I want to see how Destiny 2 performs.

Not taking the "Stickers" off the bottom of the screens though for a few weeks until I make sure the monitors are fine.

Last of the stuff needed for Project Keyboard.

Totally transparent key caps. Always loved that era in the late 90s. The trans N64s were so amazing I ended up buying the red one and gutting my Jap N64 and putting it in that shell lol. Miss those days.

I sneaked this by the missus.
it is the new G502 X from Logitech

My M56 has been playing up for a while now with a temperamental right click.
It is very light but feels really nice in my hand

This vr thing seems to be getting popular

Ive been into it for years. This is my second Aero (first I returned for a full refund because they recently dropped the price by 50%)

The clarity on this one is the most ridiculous ever. No scanlines, no SDE, etc. An absolute unbeatable headset for Sim racing in VR. Its so crystal clear that it needs a beefy GPU.

Its also got different lenses to the typical mainstream so there is no such thing as a "sweetspot" the whole lense is clear without blur. Only annoyance is even with foveated rendering, games arent adopting that feature because the headset is too ahead of the times :D

Current front speakers, Revel M105 on Atacama stands and JBL L52 classics.

Being replaced with these.

Sold my Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, Beautiful monitor but I wanted to experience QD-OLED in an ultrawide form factor and boy oh boy is it pretty.

Alienware AW3423DW

yeah I had my eye on the Alienware screen for a while. But you know its hard to pull the trigger when you already drop so much on a different one.

Sadly the value of this one plummets given the current market offerings. On a positive side, it was ahead of its time so still holds strong with HDR Levels, and/or FPS @ 200hz

NAS UPGRADE TIME :)

8 x 4TB 870 EVO SSD for 80 euros each.
These go for 250 euros on Amazon.

I hope they are genuine on not fake.

Seller is on Ebay since 2019 and has 87% positive reviews for over 4k sales.

Paid with paypal so hopefully covered if they do turn out to be fake.

Erm.

Nah I'll pass. Maybe if I had paid £3500 for the speakers I'd be in. I didn't, they were £999.

So.

Furniture feet, chrome, with M8 spikes tapped in.

Yeah will need to drill pilot holes and screw them in. I'm not concerned about it tbh, maybe I would be if I had paid the £3500 RRP but at £999 I can live with it.

They should be more than strong enough. I mean, they are for sofas so look like they can take a lot more weight than I have in mind...

I just don't want to be an ahole and leave them on the floor. There are people below me.. Besides, I want to be able to hoover under them too.

I got this today, have put it together in the hop SWMBO lets me have it now rather than wait till xmas.

To say it is extremely comfortable is a huge under statement, I sat in it and my back went wow this is better.

My Glorious Model-i mouse has been on the fritz for a fair while now so I decided to try the Alienware 620, All matte white plastic, No rubberised coating, No rubber grips, Lasts a long time wirelessly and in general feels really good in the hand as it's a good 30 grams heavier compared to the Model-i, A bargain for £48.

Getting a chair that can make your back feel good is very important, I know the feeling going from something that hurts to something that takes pain away, Makes gaming a lot better ^_^
