Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Treated myself to some audio upgrades... while the old XM8500 Ultravoice and Neewer boom arm were perfectly serviceable, I wanted something a bit more visually appealing.

last of the sata ssd's I'm going to get 2tb again could replace system drive but I don't really want to mess with that so I'll jam it in there somewhere lol as no bay for this one. thou a good deal at £82 atm :)

Future plans storage wise now are to replace and add one more nvme drive with 4tb ones but I'm waiting on prices to fall a little more as I've already spent over £550 on storage this year soon add's up, so i'll wait it out now on them nvme drives :P

So after squeezing in the 2tb ssd i got the other day, kinda ran into a issue, I have used all the sata cables that came with the PSU so the sdd's have been coming off 2 molex cables when all ssds are running they are dropping out, so power related issue.

So I ordered 2x type 4 6pin to 4 satas.

I actually don't think my PC uses any molex now since switching the fan hub so it'll be a simple switch and rewire of the setup in the case, it's bound to be a right pain in the butt thou things always take time when it should be a simple thing, life just isnt that way.

Still 2 of them at £6 each with 11% off far cheaper than direct from corsair as they wanted £10 postage was hard to find them anywhere at a good price other than ebay, least they aren't coming from china lol

Since the price dropped and I had the £10 picked this up only slot left on my mobo but there I'll be able to add a cheap 1tb nvme for like £40 in a week until prices drop further on the larger ones or they make bigger ones either way more storage lol

MSI Stealth 15, needed because I am learning more now how to DJ and having a laptop is better than a full blown pc.

Other benefit to it, is I can play Destiny 2 on it and it runs it at damn near max settings 1080p at over 100fps, so when the temps are to hot for my main pc, I just switch to this and hey presto cooler room!

Got 32Gb of 5600Mhz DDR5 being delivered tomorrow and a 1TB NVME drive that I am hoping I can add to the existing internal one, to use for storing music and recording to, so that I don't have to use a USB-C caddy.

Thing is, if it works out better for me, then I may give my dad my 5950x and 3080Ti pc, and sell his 3950x and 2080Ti pc and just use this laptop, but we will see, as I need to see how it performs on a external display at some point.

yea some laptops these days are getting beastly, I've thought about a mini PC for the bedroom then play some steam games in bed or just better overall use for my films rather than using all the built in TV functions, not sure just yet, but i think your find the laptop relaxing and just end up falling asleep while creating, kinda thing I used to do on music 2000 never did get the PC version working right but that was such a good application and simple to learn with before going onto the advanced software on PC.

That's the thing this Laptop is a I7 13620h and a 4060 8Gb.

Gaming is not the main use case for the laptop, it's going to spend most of it's time with the Plex App open during the day Mon-Fri, then Rekordbox with OBS and eventually FL Studio for track Production and some other software.

Once I get my Office built, then I can look at a better setup laptop, controller or deck's with mixer etc but for now, this will do the job nicely.

The kind of thing I've been looking at is a minis forum PC that Wendel keeps reviewing them that or a more basic laptop, but tbh i think the mini PC strapped to the back of the TV is the better option for me with a simple bluetooth key/mouse to use it, doesn't need to be insanely powerful and I expect with my wifi in the home can stream steam games anyways as gigabit throughout. Just not sure until later in the year atm.

update: Corsair MP510 2tb £55 off ebay so a deal new apparently old account little sales but others have left feedback and so long as it works what do i care.

The listing has 5 left atm good buy for 2tb nvme, 12 sold which is why i jumped on it when i did.

update 11th Sept

Some stuff I needed and some stuff I didn't, but storage wise done now the older 1tb nvme drives are going into enclosures and the 2tb drives going in, should be a simple switch tbh weirdly from the last order an extra drive came in the post mums the word.

As for the bike stuff better late than never should get a few rides in before winter hits harshly, hopefully they will last decently I wanted the magic mary's but they are 0.1 too big so 2.25 it is, closest I could get on tubes but i expect they will be okay otherwise the tyres come with 2 nbd i expect.

Belt I doubt it'll last any better than the one i got last time but i do need an update lol

Still not bad prices overall got the enclosures fair reasonable tbh 30% discount with a further 8% bit of luck all be here sometime tuesday as if i didnt already have enough to do this month :)

Can’t post a pic as I’m on the phone and away on holiday.

But.

6900XT Toxic.

Grabbed it on the OCUK MM for £435 boxed and complete.

Dice, was if you who had one? How do they clock?

I had the 6950XT version so basically the same but I got a stable 2800Mz out of it, Didn't push it further though so your mileage may vary.

GPU stats on the left, Took this in FFXIV about a year ago -

Nice Rob. Did you send the XFX back then? Or change your mind before you bought it?

This is my first Sapphire card since the x1650 pro.

Their fortunes have risen since then. They made a series of god awful motherboards before going away for a while then coming back stronger than ever.

I sent it back, its stuck in Portugal so not been refunded yet.

I must say this new card is amazing, all my games looks so detailed :D
I even managed to grab a 32" Samsung screen 1440p for 100 the other day.

Sapphire when it comes to AMD is the gold standard I do not feel the other options are as good, the only other brand that is AMD atm that i would buy is the XFX with there 3xx cards.

Looking forward to FSR3 atm meant to be this month.

Picked up cp2077PL DLC and some wedding gifts for my nephew otherwise the odd dvd boxset nothing major this month for myself.

To be honest and I will be honest from the reviews I have read Asus made the best 6000 series cards.

The Toxic has an Asetek AIO on but it only cools the core. The Strix LC has a whacking great cold plate that cools everything and it shows. With a 240 rad it actually runs cooler than the Toxic with a 360 on.

That said the price of the Strix LC was an absolute joke.

Nice to see Sapphire back at the top though because their motherboards were total crap. They made the most expensive X58 board ever (even more than EVGA) and it didn’t even support SLI only Crossfire. Which was unheard of on X58.
