Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

It doesn't seem that bad. Personally would prefer a Schiit stack but native DSD decoding at that price range alone makes it worth it. Impressive. Then again doesn't mean it's actually true. Could be marketing. Would need proper testing.

If you use Tidal and pay for the HiFi plan you don't get full Master quality off the Master tracks unless you have the DSD decoding. Which is my current situation so this is tempting to look into this more.

In all honesty bud I just wanted a hardware solution that wasn't dependant on software and I know Fiio make good hardware, Creatives AE-9 sounds absolutely amazing but their drivers are rancid ass, Channel swapping happens all the time, Randomly the left channel will go 10% quieter than the right channel, The XLR input on the breakout box is buggy as hell and locks up the system etc... Creatives driver team simply don't give a crap and they've been like this since the early 2000's.

You don't need software for the Schiit stack. Fiio make budget hardware that works well for its intended purpose which is more than good enough for most people. Nothing wrong with that.

Dedicated Sound Cards have pretty much always been inferior. Dedicated desktop solutions are just far superior. Plus generally speaking for most things you don't need any software(desktop solutions). Unless you are doing very specific things. I am not surprised you disliked the Creative product.

Actually when Creative are working their stuff sounds great but like Dice said their drivers suck balls but when it works my ZXR is good but only when it works :)

I was looking at the Schiit stuff but I want something that I can send back should it go wrong in some way and sending a Schiit back... lol :yelrotflmao: ... would be more costly that simply returning something to amazon.

Yep, I legit heard things ingames that I'd never heard before, Everything sounded so clear and clean, If their driver team wasn't made up of 3 people that have to manage a plethora of products I would've kept the AE-9 but being reliant on Creative for drivers is not a good idea.

They have a UK site. I don't think you even tried looking lol they've had one for a couple years now
https://www.schiit.co.uk/

I'm not trying to bash your purchase I just feel like if you spent good money on a great product you'd finally have something you'd hold on to and stop having to buy hundreds of things. Just make life easier

Yeah looks like that is now a dedicated site from electromod which is where I got mine from back in 2014. I still use my magni/modi stack everyday :D

Won't lie, Slightly jealous XD
Well you can find comfort in the thought that I need to rearrange my flat each time I play, and even then I've only got a 2060 :D

Still waiting on my email :(

I have to get it via a colleague in Sweden.
If it helps, two days before the mail I was at 4-6 Wk until estimated delivery - I'm guessing quite a few people in queue are getting cold feet-

Good to know.

I just used my companies Swedish VPN and tested on a different steam account with purchasing an item. So seems it accepted my norwegian bank details, provided that the Swedish address was legit. I have hope :D

Shame the Nok is HAMMERED. When I ordered it was 10k.. its 11.2k now. If it falls any more I might need to cancel. :S

Nice! I have a Bifrost with the USB/Dac chip upgrade and a Asgard 2. Super awesome! Love my stack even if it takes more than twice the space as yours. Yours are probably more practical honestly :)

I also use the Modi and Magni 3. Live them. Also love the giggles it gives me calling them a Schiit Stack haha.

Yeah agreed whenever I explain what they are to anyone they always give me a funny look like it's just "sh!t?" Got to explain it of course but always makes me chuckle

Well I got all the parts in yesterday and built it up, but it is making me want to get a Corsair 1000D or something similar and do a full custom loop for the CPU and GPU, but the issue with that would be RGB I don't like it but with these newer cases pc's just don't look right without it in them.

Anyway picture time, forgive the pictures though I am not a photographer and with limited experience using the Iphone camera etc etc (just making excuses :P)

The case is obviously the Corsair 750D and I stripped out the HDD cages as I don't need them.

The cable management may not be the best but it works for me and you cannot see any of the cables at the back from the front so I am happy with that.

I know I don't need also the 2x 8 Pin CPU cables but I think it looks better than just having the one, and I might aswell plug it in since I have not seen anything saying it will harm it, and apparently MSI load balance iirc from a Buildzoid video across them.

Spec's are:

AMD 3950x
MSI MEG Unify X570
32Gb Corsair 3600Mhz C18
MSI RTX 2080Ti Gaming X Trio
WD 1Tb NVME SSD
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 5RX

The only thing that is annoying me at the moment is that, I cannot get in to the Bios if I have a HDMI plugged in to the GPU with the DP cable, I have to take out the HDMI.

Temp wise the CPU is hitting up to 70c when under full load but I need work on the voltage as it was pumping around 1.35v to 1.425v at 100%, so I really need to look at that at some point.
