Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Haha trust is something you earn ;)

Oh yeah, you did? Which vesa stand did you purchase? :)

Just an extremely cheap one, but still far more useful than the ASUS one. Clamps on my desk and takes up just 8cm2 instead of half of my desk. Think i paid 500kr for it.

I had to have that desk custom made. It needed to go next to my old one, and be a strict width or the living room door wouldn't open. So it's 100cm wide and 100cm deep lol. Cost my ex a fortune.

If anything I'll be glad of the extra space by the side. The headset won't get in the way anywhere near as much.

You had it custom made? all that modding you do and you couldnt make your own desk? :D

My old days of carpentry ended when I moved into a flat. Chopping up MDF inside is a sure fire recipe to be finding dust for about ten years after.

yuck! MDF is terrible. Make a proper desk out of oak. Not only does it look far better, but it smells beautiful.

Only time I will use MDF is for speaker enclosures. Otherwise I steer clear of that stuff

Oak prices in the UK are insane tbh. Plus you need the tools to cut it, as it laughs at jigsaws etc.

This desk has done well. It's very solid and hey, I can always wrap the wood if I ever get bored of it.

Yeah Oak is bad priced here too. But I just love it. I took up carpentry as a minor hobby. Love working with the stuff.

My other furniture is all oak. Mostly because it rarely looks dated and lasts forever pretty much.

My old desk was oak (but enormous) and almost impossible to move too lol.

Just got my new Asetek 645LT 92mm AIO the other day for my Dan A4 SFX case :)

Finally got my hand on a new Radeon VII which works :)

Lucky, A lot of Radeon 7's came out faulty which is 1 of the reasons they were discontinued as they were originally left over Instinct compute cards.

Got 2 x Corsair 120mm HDRGB fans for the top of my case just to add some red colour.

My Aerocool QS240 has done me well over the years tbf, was pretty impressed with the build given I bought it new for like £30, though they seemed to rise in cost soon after.

About €380. They ain't cheap but they're great Hard Drives.

I've 5 of them now in my Server, the plan is to up it to 8 eventually.

I have a NAS that I need to build soon. Will start with two 4TB drives and will build up from there.

I can see my data needs exploding after I start using it. Lol.

Lots swear by the WD Reds. I've had good experience with them. I've never tried the Seagate Ironwolfs.

Having your own server or NAS is a slippery slope - let me tell you. ^_^

I just wanted a simple machine with a bunch of Hard Drives in it so I started with an Athlon 5350 system running Windows 10 Home and shoved a 4TB & a 3TB HDD into it.

Now I've over 60TB of space, ECC memory, an IPMI capable motherboard and I've the server running Debian Linux command line only with no GUI.

(I should update the thread in the Rig Gallery, given that forum could do with a bit more activity)
