Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I keep getting tempted with a Warthog setup.

I have the Logitech X56 Rhino at the moment but I am getting "Phantom Button" presses so I need to sort that out at some point.

Played a bit of Elite Dangerous again recently, it's has made me want a VR headset again but at the moment a VR headset is way down the list of "things I need".

Those VKB's are supposed to be really good though, will be interesting to see how you get on with it.

are you using a powered hub for your X56? phantom buttons and straying hat switches, are a symptom of plugging the hotas direct to PC. If you use a powered hub, this issue tends to go away. I think the X56 needs more "juice" than what gets supplied from standard 5V/0.5A usb ports

Yep, but finding one that works with this Asus Motherboard is an issue.

At the moment I have 2x TP Link USB3 Powered hubs, 1 of them has to be specifically for my Keyboard and Mouse dongles, because if I put them into a hub with other devices, they both stop working properly, didn't have this issue on my old Gigabyte or MSI board.

The 2nd is full, so either I need to get a 3rd hub specifically for the hotas or get a larger one that handle everything plugged into the 2nd one and have spare ports for the Hotas.

wow... never needed that many hubs before. I used 1 ICE hub which worked flawlessly on the hotas. Let me find the link.

This is the one I use

I ended up getting something very similar to that, still has problems with USB Devices.

Fed up now with this POS Asus board, after updating the bios on this crappy Asus board and it deciding that I must have the annoying "Memory Training" thing turned on at all times so 5 minutes to post each time I turn it on, otherwise it won't boot into windows without freezing, cannot make changes in the bios without freezing and randomly now whilst browsing the net it will completely lock up and force a reboot then memory training again, all of this since the bios update.

Did try the flash back thing to roll back to the previous bios, nope won't read pen drives anymore in the bios, so even the newer beta bios cannot be loaded.

NEVER, will I buy another Asus product NEVER!!

So new MSI board ordered which I really cannot afford at this time.

So my almost new Keychron board died. I had a bottle of vape liquid explode over it and in my face two days after I got it, but it died two weeks back leaving me without a board for home.

I stripped down my Hunstman Elite.

And bought these.

But they don't fit as they are too thick to clear the bars on the keys. So I got this for £19.99 brand new.

And.

New MSI Board is installed and working great, PC feels faster as well for some reason.

Ended up having to buy a replacement NVME drive for my 2nd machine the Lexar one in it, was having issues on boot and delaying programs opening on it such as the Go XLR app, Discord etc.

Whilst I was doing fresh install's on Windows I found somewhere to get some Windows 11 Enterprise keys from, purchased 2 and both machines are now running it, managed to clear a lot of the pre-installed garbage because even with it being Enterprise it still had some garbage installed.

I’ve had 0 luck tbh. With boards like. Two dead from liquid damage and can’t fit new caps to my old huntsman ffs.

So I was loathe to buy yet another stupid expensive board.

Oh and my Alienware mouse decided it was time to die too fgs.

So that’s gone and I bought a Viper 8k in yellow and black. I’ll stick up a pic later but again I think my limit now on mice is going to be £40. Again they all die any way so what’s the point?

I was buying the same keyboard over and over again, the Logitech G915 because it has Wireless for my gaming machine and Bluetooth for my work laptop, but no matter what after about 16 months the switches would start to "Double Activate" so I ended up with "ssensor" typed instead of "sensor" or a different letter or a combination of letters, given the price of them I was not impressed.

Decided, "everyone says Razer are good let's give them a try" so I got myself the "Deathstalker V2 Pro" and what a mistake it was!

So the Wireless part of it drops the connection to the dongle plugged into the USB ports on the Asus board I have swapped out, but on the MSI board it isn't even detected now but the keyboard works if I plug the cable in and then switch the keyboard to the "Off" position for my gaming pc, and the Bluetooth works fine on my work laptop, so that is how I am running it till I find the money to get a keyboard that has Wireless and Bluetooth and will allow me to easily swap the switches should they start to fail.

Mice wise I have been using the Logitech G Pro Wireless for the longest time now, but recently swapped out to the Logitech G502 X Wireless and I am loving it, although I wish it had Bluetooth as well so I didn't need to unplug the wireless dongle every day.

If I remember right, its not plug and play. Razer has a firmware/dongle tool you need to download and run. It should work after that.

12 of these.

Got an extra 5% off at checkout. They are for my server. Going to fill all 12 swap bays. Talking of the bays. The fans in them are dead. Make a god awful racket tbh.

Three of those. One per bay.

Done that, firmware updated on everything and still the MSI board won't recognize it, tried it on 2 other pc's and it won't get recognized anymore.

I am looking at a custom keyboard probably but got a few other things to deal with first, will post about it in another thread.

Star Citizen will love that ! :giggle:

Got the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster on Steam, Was only a £10 upgrade as I have the original.

Now I just need a 9800X3D and a new GPU as my refurbed 4070Ti has shit itself it constantly crashes with fatal errors when under load or causes BSOD, and with it being a replacement for my out of warranty 3080 MSI won't be replacing it :(

Well you better get your wallet ready then as Nvidia's 5000 series are going to be even more expensive and AMD's highest end 8000 series GPU will "only" be equal to a current gen 7900XT albeit much cheaper and lower power consumption with vastly improved RT performance.

I realised that I tend to download 60gb worth of movies in one go, then push it all to the server through the network after. Which takes ages, and has seen me sometimes forget to watch any of them ffs.

This is down to the network speed. 1gb. I had a good look at all of my computers, and the only one missing a 2.5gb card was the server itself lol.

So I got two of these, as I did not realise my other gaming PC had one in it too.

And a new switch.

Will install it when I get home tomorrow. Shouldn't take too long, unless Truenas does not like to plug and play.

Pizza stone.

Old PSU finally gave up the ghost after 9 years. Pushed the boat out on a replacement, Seasonic PRIME TX 3.0 1300W!
