I look forward to soon enjoying 1440p content :), i hope my dual 7870 Tahiti cards are up for the task.

I'll be documenting my experience here on the forums for those interested in switching to 1440p or in Korean monitors.

The only thing that has arrived so far is the SSD, still waiting on the power supply and graphics card to arrive :)

Samsung Magician software, But only works with 840 series SSD's sadly.

Managed this after a few runs of crystaldiskmark :o

i guarantee you, this is not possible on sata 3. even if you were on sata 4 or whatever, no single 840 evo could provide those speeds

you guys know that magician software uses RAMdisk to cache the data or something like that!

Pretty much, RAPID mode uses up to a 1GB for cache but the highest ive seen is somewhere around 75-100MB playing Arma/Dayz from it.

The ssd in general makes them both super silky, up from 25-30 FPS with random texture pops/slow downs in places to around 45-50 minimum with 0 hickups/slow downs in the Dayz mod with slightly higher quality settings, PBO files suck so much having to be read from a mechanical drive.

Asus VG248QE and a Steelseries Rival
both worth every penny.
anyone who says 60+hz is pointless hasn't tried it. so. good.

How do you find the rival? I'm looking to change my old RAT7 and this is one of the few I'm looking at.

i had a logitech g9x and a steelseries sensei raw before and i must say i love the rival. i was used to it within 2 minutes, the shape fits my hand perfectly, the sensor is great, the buttons are a lot better than those of the sensei raw, it might be a bit heavy, but so far that hasn't bothered me.
if you have large hands you will love it, but i know of people with smaller hands who liked the shape as well. give it a shot.

Rival is still lighter than RAT7 so that's only a plus for me. Anyway I'm not in a rush so gonna read some reviews and see after that.

Plantronics 380 Gamecom Headset - It was only £20 and it was recommended to me by my friend cos I told him I was looking for a comfortable, cheap headset with at least decent quality sound :).

When I went looking for headsets, I was in 3 choices.
These - the 380's
Microsoft LiveChat 3000
TurtleBeaches x11 (might have been x12, not sure)

bought the Plantronics 380's back in April last year ('13) and not had any problems with them and I wear them for at least 6 hours straight every night.

Two more of these to complete my triple monitor work set up.

I do aim to get a 1440p+ set up in the future but this will last me a while.

Oh and one of these
