Nah just kidding, I need to get rid of two foam mattresses.

I ordered the new bed last night. Will be 2-3 weeks. I went single, because my shoulder is stuffed and I hate changing duvet covers.

Storage = good. Will order the mattress later. No rush now. I bought this the other day.

The machine and syrup arrived early, yesterday, natch, but no pods ffs. I then decided to set it up and oh noes, not enough sockets. That's OK I have a good wall extender. Only I can't use it because of the granite bar across the counter getting in the way. Typical ffs.

That one goes up.

Done.

Mattress and new pillow ordered. My ones I have now are too soft. Ahhh, getting old !

Need to calm it down now, my bank account has taken a feckin stomping.

2x2tb crucial ssd's and majority dx20, plus a few games and DLC, plus some dvd's should keep me very busy :)

Good price on the ssd's they were £25 cheaper than the last one i got a few months back so pretty happy with that, only 1 sata port left now but no bays, brings me upto 38.25tb of space 6.25tb ssd 2tb nvme and 24tb hdd with 6tb externals.

I was going to get the creative 2.1 pebble plus, but the cable mess on that really put me off and only aux connections, the majority dx20 has many connections and far less cable mess, they arrived today only cost £29.95 bass could be nicer but it's a hell of a lot better than the soundbar as mum complained about the noise so they are good enough for me and my needs if i want loud music i have the surround in the bedroom :D

More Titanium goodness. The hardest part to find was the rarest. The Ti crank axle.

OoZpvCh.jpg

Considering the original is a slab of solid steel 22mm thick I will take that.

More Ti bolts. This time M6 for the brake bolts and brake lever.

The M8 ones are for the stem, but I needed 4 more for the crank arms. They are pinch bolts, but basically stem bolts. So I got more.

As well as a sprocket bolt and random bits needed. I also got this earlier.

Bought this a few days back. Not NOS but damn close.

And some anti seize. Apparently Ti is very bitey and likes to weld itself to other metals if they corrode (galvanic corrosion is real y'all)

The front hub rebuild is also complete with the Ti bolts etc. I am now in the process of restoring the fork in the pic here.

Mercusys H50G 3 pack mesh wifi AC1900, grabbed these over the deco m4/s4 as they are a higher speed and were cheaper as amazon had them on 47% off. by all accounts the app isnt as good as some, but imho i'll set it up and only need to do anything if it needs resetting.

I have fully overhauled my music set up.

First came the KEF LS50 Meta, then two SVS SB1000 Pro and finally, a Denon X4800H AVR! I am chuffed!

However, a question for the audio tech wizards;

Using a PS5 (but same question for all sources) with the brand new AVR. Two bookshelf speakers, two subs.

Would it be best to set the PS5 audio output to 2.0 (downside being in pure direct / direct modes, the subs are not used) and use standard Stereo settings to ensure the subs are used, or would it be better to set PS5 to 5.1 and let AVR down mix to stereo (where subs are always used)?

I got the ball ache with mine in the end. The sub that is. When listening to music it basically did nothing. So, I split the right signal and put it into the sub. If you have two? I would do the same. Unless you have a full surround system then running it at 5.1 is not needed. However, even if you do go full surround? then your subs will still stomp no matter what.

Go with what sounds better. Really just depends on how your equipment handles everything.

Personally I think in theory it won't make a difference but theory is subjective in the realm of audio quality which relies on everybody's personal taste in audio

Having your subs in stereo will always sound better. The sub output in a surround system is filtered, and will miss out a lot. It may "work" better in a movie situation, where the bass is hidden and then BANG (IE crap your pants moments) it just doesn't work in music. Like I said, the processor will pretty much treat it as never there. And it has been proven that on all small speakers you need a sub, or you forego a lot of the audio spectrum. Which again, comes not down to preference but science.

It's always better to have your bass there on tap rather than trying to get a surround processor to prioritise it. I mean, that is exactly why I disabled my sub output and connected it up to the right channel 24/9. Because even "Dolby whatnot with subwoofer" just didn't work properly with music.

Now obviously I only have one, but yeah you can never have enough subs :D Well, unless you live in a small flat like me and shake the entire roof structure with one 15.

BTW as for purchases. Been right back on the vinyl again lately. Found a few great deals. This was £12.50

Got this too. Toxic green. Might be coming from the USA though, so may take a while.

And then this on pre order for 25th July delivery.

not a proper answer but id say do this .....

get yourself either 2 SVS Prime Satellite Speaker --- https://i.imgur.com/K2O3QTw.jpg

or if your feeling flush 2 Prime Elevation Speaker svs --- https://i.imgur.com/StDFO3C.jpg

you receiver is top notch, throw them behind you on some stands or on the wall and you will be more than chuffed

just playing games on ps5 using the set up you have will blow you away... i have had to go look outside before cos i thought it was actually raining but it was from games... as for creaking doors and foot steps coming up behind you it will make your hair stand on end

Toshiba 4k HDR10 43" TV

6ee1yCV.jpg

Also ordered a 50" for me mum, but that is going back as fault with ariel connection on the back clean snapped off, none to happy with toshiba not honoring the warranty on that, so had changed my review at which point amazon asked me to contact them and it's going back monday and refunded until mum picks out a new one from someone else.

They were a good deal on gaming week £120 off each one but pretty sure anything in this ball park is just as good, still mine is fine and safe in the bedroom and have been watching many things in 4k some you can really see the difference others not so much.

but there toshiba would have replaced if a huge issue but not for the ariel connection that would have been a small fix for them, but it's my mum she needs live TV like all old ladies lol

So your offically a hamster then green back :D

I'm lucky here 30 seconds from the beach a few dog walkers and a little cafe about 2miles from home to have a double bacon bap with coffee :P

I do it for mum i don't care so much about my fitness much as i'm generally alright.

tbh they are handy them things but i always found i got dizzy on them as after some speed you walk off feeling all off balance like your still moving forward :D
