TTL Finally gets a Mk2 Fiesta XR2!
After many years of wanting another one, some including being too scared to spend the money and some looking for the right one I finally though sod it. I knew I was going to either get a good shell or a good engine...
I found a lush white one a month or so ago that was standard under the bonnet but had had a restoration done but the bloke kept messing about and amazingly.... Putting the price up (email gave who I was away)
Anyways, this came up and I knew from the get go it would need some time at the body shop being restored but the engine sold it, oh what an engine! Its powered by a 2.0Ltr 16v engine from a Focus ST170 - its then had throttle bodies added and custom Omex Engine management giving it near enough 200BHP.
Other bits are a rebuilt RST gearbox with Quaife internals including a new LSD, spax all round, poly bushed, oil cooler, custom VVT controller, 15" Compotive wheels wrapped in Yokohama rubber.
Im probably going to be sending her to a restorer within the next few weeks to go right over her and replace a lot of the usual panels that go and thus removing any patches that have been welded in with complete replacement panels.
