Nope, I never noticed I could get this option till I had already purchased it sadly

I wouldn't get that stand for my cans since I don't want marks in my headband, but I guess for your audio technicas it's perfect since the don't have a regular band

And the only 1 to fail so far has been the Blackwidow 2012 when 1 light started to flicker, Sent it back and got it replaced.

Indeed plus they only weigh 280g so not a lot of pressure will be put on the band

Get on the blower to them first thingand get a Nickel/Acetal block and black backplate stuck on it before they start work in the morning. I guess it depends on your build but Nickel > Copper.
