An endless stream of buying new PC hardware, well I guess we could be doing worse things with our money tbh.

Could always start collecting stamps, or antique furniture, that's expensive stuff mate.

Just got my Rival and some games:

Props to SieB for the suggestion on the mouse, fits like a glove. It's like twice the size of my old mouse

And kinda pissed that no shop in town has got Shadow of Mordor in stock. I was like there 8 in the morning when they opened and they are all like, yeeaeah too small town, they shipped all the games to larger towns. Shitty small towns. And very fun to try to play games with my awesome internet connection, download 150 kbps at the most. Installed starcraft, yeah 6 gig download, just to wait another day for the update. Been gaming farcry a bit now, it only had like 500mb updates so it just took a couple of hours. Looking forward moving to the city and get that fibre mmmm. /rant

Well I could do with updating my guitar collection too, all of my electric guitars are around 5 years old now. It would make a pretty expensive spend.

Got my new monitor

Was going to get the swift but as it only has a single Display Port input, it stopped me from getting it as I need to be able to connect my Xbox One to the monitor as well, and that is also what stopped me from waiting for the Acer 4K G-Sync monitor.

It does not come with the supports sadly i'm sure I will manage to adhere it to the awful magnolia walls in my uni room ok, it's 1.35x11m thunder grey. Just a bit wider would of been nice but i'm not spending £50, photoshop will solve the problem either way.

Probably heavy i'm guessing at 145gsm just over 2kg, I will probably cut it up as I have no use for a piece longer than about 2.5m. Buying it any shorter didn't seem to be an option (it's paper btw).

Wish I could go full studio on it but expense, i'll see what kit University will lend me and get to it this week. I should of done more before I left home, the OCD cave really isn't bad for it with the wall colour and lighting.

Nice idea i did the same thing, year or so back, used my glass dining table and white coloured walls, using a wickes flood light and unexposed slightly no photoshop

What kind of camera do you have? If it's a fancy Canon (5D, 60D etc), have you heard of Magic Lantern? Don't have it myself but a mate swears by it.

Couldnt wait for my 1gb hd 7850 "with small issue" to sell on ebay.
so i had to just buy what i could affoard "my target was similar specs with more ram as i just do 1080p"

and this is what i could affoard:

HD 7870 with 2Gb GDDR..
i couldnt find a club 3d joker or one of the other 2 with the 7950 core.
but figured it ticked all the boxes i needed ticking. and if it overclocks well il be happy. 1.2ghz on the gpu would keep me pretty cheerfull i think. had hoped fr a 680 or something but its good enough for 1080p gaming.

now i just need to sell my 7850 and recoup some money so i can buy a water block for it.
