Fair play it's definitely worth playing the prologue and building up a little rep in GTA Online so your on the ball come PC release time and you've unlocked the extra stuff. I've decided to stop playing on PS3 for a while and left it at home just so I get through some other games before I totally no-life GTA V for 4 or so years.

Whereas I'm the opposite, I've stopped playing GTAV on the 360 because it's so painful (dem jaggies) and I don't want to ruin my PC experience.

A reference R9 290X, a minor upgrade from my R9 290, but it saves me from selling and buying a new waterblock.

Upgrading from an R9 290 to a GTX 970?? I thought you of all people would have more sense.
Seriously though well wear, I'm envious. It's taking most of my energy to fight the upgrade bug and not treat myself in the form of overhauling my whole rig.
My last treat to myself was a little ultra-compact Athlon 5350 system a few months ago, but one always wants new hardware to play with.

These 970s overclock pretty well though so i'll be having fun with benchmarking. A NZXT S340 is next on the list, after that i'm not planing on buying anything else till around summer next year... So I keep telling myself anyway

I justified buying the R9 290 and GTX 780 after the 290 didn't work out for me early this year as a card that was overkill for games at 1080p that would last a good bit longer than a more suitable card at 1080p. That still doesn't make a GTX 970 any less tempting now though.
I will upgrade my motherboard and processor sometime next year though. It'll likely be Z107 or whatever it's called, or maybe.. just maybe AMD will have something worthwhile by then.
An endless stream of buying new PC hardware, well I guess we could be doing worse things with our money tbh.
