Fist off, nice post

I think video content would be a step forward. Also modding articles would be good, altho there aren't many people actively modding stuff anymore due to the pre-modded case market
Video content would be impressive, I overlooked that this morning! Are you thinking video reviews, or am I missing the point?
Modding is quite small on this site but Mark is always doing something and we usually have someone having a go at a cube or case! It would be good to see more people have a go, although lack of tools/experience may hinder most...

Game reviews I think are a waste of time given the number of magazines and websites which already do this. Also some games are percieved differently by different types of players.
I never look to other sites for reviews anymore, I look but always see faults and don't feel they are unbiased. I'd like someone I trusted (e.g.

c3d: member) to review the game. Granted some people love FPS or RTS but i'm sure if the reviewer drew some parallels to other games e.g. liked COH's, you'll like C&C3 etc then you would get an idea...

Some of the technology news is good, but I find a lot of them to either not be news at all or to be a rip-off of another site. Also loads of them are boring. Things like "samsung release ddr3 ram" followed by "corsair release ddr3 ram" followed by "gskill release ddr3 ram" are just a bit boring and pointless. An article about DDR3 RAM and the benefits, speeds, timings aswell as the comparison with costs involved would be totally different.
I hear you on this one. News is hard to bring. You need industry contacts and insider information to get 'new' news. People on big sites like XS for example receive ES samples/new products to test as they are regarded by the community/manufacturers as skilled users, or work for big corporations so get previews/involved in testing - all these factors allow them to bring new news.
Us newsies are just enthusiasts trying to bring you up to date info on whats happening. I don't have the expendible income or time to buy some ddr3 mobos and ram to test. Hell, I wish I could! Also, there is an oc3d article section, this is seperate to news...
I cringe sometimes at what I have to post, I really wish AMD would send me something cool to play with, but they don't

Maybe delve into computer security, altho I'm not that sure how many people are that interested in that on here as most seem to be young gamers who go for the latest gimmicky piece of hardware. Also I guess it runs the risk of legality as it's not a closed community.
Don't have a clue about this but I would be interested to learn...

There are loads of video reviewers on the net who are crap and know little about hardware and technical stuff, so maybe OC3D could make a name for themselves using this new media approach? Altho I guess it would take a bit of time

OC3D tv?
I agree here.
BTW - i wasn't criticising you, but your post had some good points that compelled me to throw in my thoughts... I come in peace!
