Hi i am building a rig for about £750-£800 max on a gaming / editing rig and this is what i have come up with is

Intel core i5 2500k

Gigabyte gtx560ti soc

Asus p8p67

Mushkin silverline 6gb

Western digital 1tb green - for storage and boot

Antec high current gamer hcg620 watt power supply

Coolermaster haf 912 plus

ALL AT STOCK IM NOT OVERCLOCKING IT !

Please help what i need to change or keep the same i have got a copy of windows 7 64bit and keyboard and mouse and a monitor

I think that 2TB disks are the sweet spot at the moment in terms of £/GB. But if you don't need the space you have gotta try an ssd, it is the single biggest upgrade you can make imho

I've got a 2500K with an Asus p8p67, it's fantastic.

I've heard heard that those green drives are great storage drives but don't really work well as boot drives so I'd go for something else there if I was you. Also wanted to ask, is that Mushkin memory triple channel memory? You need duel channel for the P67 boards.

Hope this helps.

Thanks ! im going to buy a ssd which one do you recommend ?

Depends on your budget. OCZ have just brought out the Vertex 3, although I haven't read any reviews on them. I have a couple of Vertex 2's in Raid 0 and couldn't be happier. The old gen 2 Intel ones are still rated as well.

As he's not using onboard graphics yes you're right, the 2500K is pointless in your situation, save yourself a few quid.

Same with using P67, H67 if the OP is running all stock.

Come on Chuby123, this is Sandy Bridge. Overclocking is pretty much tweaking the multiplier and voltage, that's it.
