So, i got into a heated argument on some mexican forum, yah i know that was my first mistake LOL.
This is a long debate between PC Gamers and Console Gamers points to review :
Performance
Cost
Benefit
Amount of games
Price of games
Difference between games in PC/Console
Controls
Party Gamming (playing with friends and so on)
Companies interested in developing games for it
Is it really worth it ?
What gear do you get and what do you play (are you really taking an advantage or are you 1 of those people that has the best hardware available, but plays games like minecraft...)
So to start this debate, I'm going to say that i consider console gaming to be the best, however if we are going to go deep down to it, computers are not meant to be for gaming, of course you have a costume setup and you can add and remove whatever you feel like it, and you can get amazing performance, but after all the game developers do not care if you got the newest hardware available, they do games for the mass not just for you.
Performance
I don't know of any1 that can argue that the pc is weaker or slower than any console, however you do have to install the game in your hard disk and even then you still have to put that disk on.... (Some games), while on consoles you put the game and your good to go, sadly only xbox saved the game on the disk, couldn't do that on ps3 (or I didn't really care), computers perform different tasks, consoles are focused only on games (ofcourse by the time they are released the hardware is a bit outdated)
Cost
a good pc can go from 1000 usd to 500,000 usd if you buy a holy setup (sweet deals like the emperor chair or diamonds...)
the console system is the same for every1, and it wont beyond 400 usd lets say 1000 usd with all you need , cam, headset, controlers, etc(unless your somekind of mentally challenge kid that whants a ps3 with gold or even crazier a wii with gold then it will go to 5000, but lets not bring stupidy into this, Call of dutty for ps3 sold for 4000 usd on ebay, just to have it a few days before, damn those crazy kids) check up here
Benefit
Difference between a real gamer and an amateur
Real gamers have a whole display of the games they bought, i cant even brag about my league of legends space of the disk....console games and mostly retro are been overpriced, hard to get, and if you manage to have alot of them, your already in your way to be the most popular guys in the gamming comunity, hell i will love to have as many games as alphaomegasin has, and that is something you can really brag about...........
PC Gamers dont have a hole bunch of things to brag about but their setup, and sadly everyone can get the same setup, theres nothing "amazing in showing how much games you can save in your brand new SDD"
Me ? well i got the first version of Resident Evil, with the big case, and manuals, and up to this day my friends come to my house see it and always ask, HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GOT IT, i love that game.
Apart from games having a powerful PC benefits in alot of aspects, but it really narrows it down to what you use that for
Amount of games
Price of games
The amount of games in consoles are way more than the games on pc, the price is ridiculous 5-100 usd without the first days of release packages and hd combos that arent really hd(from ping pong to whatever newbie shooter gamers play this days)
Now that i think about it, i might be wrong with how many games are on pc, but on the other hand we shouldnt count emulators into the equation, but lets say theres a fair amount for both, but game developers focus more on consoles than pc games (and some pc games have the exact same quality that a console game has)
Difference between games in PC/Console
i had never have problems with mmo's on PC, unless the internet company .......... fucks something up and i die...
console games didnt reach a decent level playing online (at least i didnt play to this game a game that didnt give me heart attacks online mode)
console friend zone - you can share your games with your friends and your sure they can run that game, no geek requirements needed, you got a ps3 this is a ps3 game, end of the argument.
Companies interested in developing games for it
pc companies i just know about 5 or 6 companies that just develop 1 game or 2, theres nothing else
console has the fucking advantage here
Is it really worth it ?
PC gaming isnt really worth it, updating pc for different tasks and have fun while your at it, yes it is
Console gaming - you can brag about it, you have your tropies, you got your games and you can fucking claim youre a true gamer, im sorry but thats the way it is, if we talk about gaming, your nothing compared to a collection of games in their case.
But hey maybe some big PC gamer has a shitload of games, that probably no1 knew and that no1 cares about LOL
-pardon my grammar ill try to correct it
