pc problems :(

I think OCZ is pretty dam good. 1/2 of my ram is that and ive taken it up to 240mhz no probs, but llwyds CPU crapped out at that point, i think it could have gone higher though. The heatsinks look cool too.

Top 2 - 1st is one of the favorites in the UCCC memory field, expect around 270-300 at 3-4-4-8 on them, 2nd is probably the favorite PC3200 OC memory out there, not too sure bout results though.

Top 2 - 1st is a bit of a stretch, Kemp has them, expect 260-290 at 3-3-2-8, 2nd is another favorite in the UCCC field, same results as the G.Skill UCCC

Last 1 - Probably the 3rd favorite in UCCC field, but lowest performing, tending to get 260-280 at 3-4-4-8.

2nd 1 - Same chips as Mushkin Redlines, results just about the same, same price

Corsair PC4000 - a relative unknown in the OC world, these also utilize the Samsung UCCC IC's. Results are limited and it is Corsair, however, those results I have seen are quite impressive, on par with and sometimes beyond the G.Skill and Mushkin. Expect around the same results as those 2 (if reviews and a few user experiences are to be believed)

A small note on the PC4000 at 3-3-2-8 (OCZ Plat and Mushkin Redlines) - some pairs do quite well in SuperPi testing (up to 290 or so) yet have a problem with 3D stability at those clocks. These kits tend to max out at 260-270 at 3-3-2-8 for 3D stability. Some kits don't have this "bug" so it's sort of a gamble

yea i might get lucky and get some value select with uccc chips but i wouldnt mind paying a bit extra for more performance:)

cheers.

guess who's back:p :D

with the help of a DFI Ultra-D and 512mb stick of value select

lol, didn't anyone teach you that DFI and Corsair aren't exactly friends, nor is Corsair and AMD.

My buddy had a stick of Corsair XMS and Corsair ValuSelect, both of them hated his Opty 148, on an ASROCK Dual 939, a Giga-Byte board, and a MSI K8n Neo4.. and there are way more cases of Corsair vs DFI, & Corsair vs. AMD. Look on both www.dfi-street.com and www.xtremesystems.org/forums/

Get yourself some Crucial Ballistix (2x512MB that is), it's cheap and does DDR600+ :)
