PC Gamers are not second class citizens!

Do you read Kotaku's articles? LOL

Allow me to correct my statement!
I don't read kotaku because I've read so many stupid things in the past from them. Still my opinion on ports and preorders is that there shouldn't be a "port" basically changing the api codes and trying to make a game work on another platform. Secondly preorders show greed from big companies.

third.... Guys remembe one time when companies released demos? I want demos back

Fixed that sentence for you ;)

Nah you broke it. Although it is very rare now that you actually can preorder PC only games.

Certain developers of PC only games have earned my trust enough over the years. That said they'll probably move to early access or whatever (even though they previously didn't do that) and go straight back on my sh**list.

-edit-
To fix my own sentence:

Not suprised. Thats why you shouldn't really ever pre order *.

*except with certain companies who have an excellent track record

CD Projekt Red for example.

I'm not too keen on pre-ordering myself. Only game I'll pre-order in the near future is Kingdom Hearts 3, but that's because I'm extremely biased and Kingdom Hearts is my all-time favorite franchise. Most of the time I prefer waiting until the reviews are out, or I'll go to my local game store and pick it up on launch day. I live in a relatively small village so games are rarely sold out.

As for PC games, I rarely buy games at launch. I tend to wait until they're a bit cheaper. If you're someone who wants to play games at launch, however, I can see why pre-ordering is a great thing. Especially with the pre-loading nowadays.

Are these the same gamers a while ago they said were dead and misogynistic neck beards who live in their mum cellar definitely a site I'd avoid

Sometimes I wonder why certain companies bother releasing PC editions at all when a situation like Arkham Knight is the end result. It doesn't really gain them much other than negative PR.

I enjoyed the Arkham games quite a bit up until now, but I think I'll be waiting for the bargain bin time in a steam sale for this one.

The PR may be negative, but the cash flow is positive regardless so in the end they lose nothing and all this negative PR will be washed away by the next batman trailer. It's a vicious cycle.

Actually they lost money because of the steam refunds. Hopefully this will be a warning to all developers.
