PC case for cpu cooler 160mm

I m looking for a case with enough space for my cpu cooler, Scythe Ninja 3(160mm).

Must be silent, front and sided closed, as my present case, Coolermaster Sileo 500.

Any ideas? :)

Yes, I have it already installed. Why?

You re talking for the Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl/Titanium Grey?

I ve seen that box, seems good. Maybe too much for me, because I ll only connect a single graphics card, a soundcard, a ssd and a dvd drive.

Most important for me is to be silent/closed. I see holes in the side and in the roof. I m not going to put fans there, are these holes closed by default?

Would just have recommended you a better cooler, that's all...

The R4 is probably the best silent case you can get. It seems fine for what you're wanting.
Maybe look at the Fractal Arc Midi too?

The holes have noise deadening foam there so they aren't really holes. Just gives the option to mount fans there if you want.

I took this cooler after a long research. I found not any better cooler in this cost(42€) for fanless function with my 960T cpu. And it really works great.

So, if no fans installed in side/roof, no holes open? Thats good.
There's a smaller size? I think I ll get it.
But what is that "hive" in the front?

I already run it almost completely passively for the last 3 years(there's an exhaust 120' slipstream case fan 500rpm in the back and in the summer another one fan in the cpu heatsink).

So in the front there are holes... not good then for me. Front holes=noise gets out:)

Just like to point out the obvious...
If you're running it passively, you have nothing making a noise, and therefore no need for a silent case to stop noise getting out because...well...there's nothing to make a noise in the first place...

If you're running it passively - you should have a lot of mesh all over so at least air can get in naturally. The 'silent' case will not make any difference in noise, and instead just increase your temps.

Αs I said, theres an exhaust fan, so there is noise. But with the CoolerMaster Sileo 500 and its foam, plus that extra quiet fan 500rpm I just mentioned, u really hear nothing.
In summer a second fan is necessary. This double sound is perceived.

I thought you were saying only in summer for both fans.

Well I personally have all my fans running at 5v, and they're completely inaudible even without a silent case.

Either of the fractals will be fine. But I personally don't see the need for a silent case. Still...up to you!

Well, if u want to hear zero sound, then u see the need of a silent case.

If this Fractal is open in the front side, the noise come out. And my head is exactly near there :)

What about the noise of psu, vga fan, hard drives?...

I assumed if you're going to the extent of no case fans or CPU cooler, you'd be using passive/semi-passive PSU, Solid state drives and a passive GPU.

If a case has only the rear out take fan spot open your going to have a bad time, how is it going to move air through the case if there are NO other holes....

The fractal is an amazing case, the door has sound reducing foam on it (so less noise leaking out the front derp derp), and its pretty quiet when running the standard fans at full speed anyway, put some 5v reducers on them and you have a super silent case that doesnt have piss poor air flow.

You have to check it yourself then...
Take a CoolerMaster Sileo 500, a cpu of TDP 95W with Scythe Mugen 2 or Scythe Ninja 3.
There is also a 9800gt green with arctic cooling accelero(fanless) and an ssd. Do you want to know my temps?

it doesnt have a closed front, it still has slots at the bottom of the front cover for air to get dragged into, thats what i was on about.
