I'd love to make a custom window once, but my hands are not really steady, so I'm afraid I would accidentaly cut myself with a dremel :/

If it is a square or rectangle, get it cut where you buy it. Where I am in the US glass shops and hardware stores may cut it for free or it is very cheap.

Use a jigsaw with a blade with 12+-. It works perfect for plexi/acrylic
