Parvum Systems Project Magnus

Love that raid card "rescue" block! Amazing job on the mount, fit, and finish. Suits the build perfectly. You guys do phenomenal work!!!

wow, just.. wow lol That custom block looks immense! subtle but spot on in terms of styling.

I wish I had time to sit and play with a CnC machine :(

Awww that's amazing, I want to make custom waterblocks :(

Its rather sexy hey! You can do it! You can always contact people and have things milled/machined! The drawing of it is the hard part I guess!

Very nice, custom waterblock for a raid-card.

Brilliant idea

I can't say I'm the first person to do it but we are happy with the results. Turned out super nice and was much needed. Thanks again to TTL for the raid card in the first place :D

Soooo nice! In fact if this build gets any more god like it'll have it's own religious following. :)

Too late! Wanna join us? ;)

Haha what are you calling this religion?

You know that your rig is pimpin' when even your raid card is watercooled.

Double thanks :)

Thanks SuB. It really is a pleasure to have such a machine. Its far more than a hobby at this stage but its great fun to stay late and work on fancy pants builds :D

After seeing that block I think I need to see if I can find something for my new one!

It gets a teeny tiny bit toasty, specs say 200cfm and climate controlled environment.... !

This is wonderful! I wanted a Parvum case for súch a long time now, but I'm still saving and drawing :p

Keep it up!

Just another update

Welcome back. Nice to see you all.

First up we would like to say Thank you once again to tiny tom logan, he of course mate the raid card mod possible.... by supplying said raid card. Thanks mate.

We would also like to thank Asus for the support along the way. They did a great little write up on the rog.asus website that managed to pull in a MASSIVE 31,797 views. This is huge for us and considering the builds not finished.. very impressive. Thanks for the continued support Asus UK and Richard.

To the update!

We start by cutting the 'final' top panel:

339.jpg

That took some SERIOUS measuring skills that's for sure. Couldn't have done it without our trusty digital caliper. To any modder looking for a new tool... it's the one of course:

340.jpg

341.jpg

Now we have to get to work on the pump/res connections. Sorry to anyone who is big on symmetry. Lines pretty hectic here also:

343.jpg

344.jpg

345.jpg

346.jpg

Installed an additional D5 in the second layer of the top panel... more accurate measuring require of course to allow it connect directly to the fitting below:

347.jpg

Next... despite having the wonderful b neg help us out and bend the tubes for the front of the case we just could not get it to fit in with the build, even trying to make the front panels cover as much of the bend as possible it still didn't look neat enough.

So more measuring... more replacement panels... so many replacement panels...!

348.jpg

Pretty accurate fit:

Cheeky shot with 1 of the 2 full pipes installed:

MUCH happier for sure. Both will be filled with white coolant. Really cant wait for this.

Until next time... what are you all up to this week?

My rig is currently in a 6 year old case with no 120mm fan mounts, what about you?

But seriously how have I not seen this build log before. This stuff is godly guys!

Not bad not bad at all, my case is now 5 months old and has 13 x 120mm fan mounts! In other news not too much, cracking down with work. A nice S2.0 case heading to TTL very soon.

Thanks sir! We have converted quiet a lot of haters and people unsure about how somewhat sporadic the runs to the bottom chamber are. Nice to do something so different.

Well, im changing my trousers...

Oh no what happened

More Cable Management

Sponsors/Support:
OC3DSPONSOR1.png

Back once aaaaaaaaaaaaagain!

This time we our tying up some lose ends and working on the cable management in the rear. Horrified if I'm honest at how much wire needs to go in this build.

We start with laying the beast down. Not actually as easy as it sounds:

353.jpg

First problem to address:

Due to the thickness of the res' in the bottom you cannot screw the bottom of the pass through fittings on.. this is a bit of on issue because a few of the angles connected to the acrylic tubing are maybe out by 0.something of a mm or a degree:

354.jpg

To fix this we came up with a solution that worked out EVEN better than expected. Starting with some extenders:

355.jpg

Another pass/fill port:

356.jpg

With these combined you can actually use the ring/nut on the fitting to tighten and pull everything into place:

357.jpg

All done here.... expensive fitting bill...!

358.jpg

359.jpg

360.jpg

Next up we start to install the cables for the rig. Must say Pexon did a great job on the PSU for us. We gave him the exact lengths needed for a LOT of cables. Results super happy. Wanted to keep to one tone, keep it super neutral:

361.jpg

362.jpg

363.jpg

364.jpg

On to hell... the rear! A LOT of cables to deal with:

360.jpg

So before we do this we consulted the Parvum Guardian:

366.jpg

He said if we don't sort it quick time he will hit us with his hammer.. >.<,

MORE mess:

372.jpg

373.jpg

To combat this we need to cut another pane. Drawing first:

367.jpg

Next we grab one of the old panels from Magnus. Love to reuse every bit of acrylic we can. Then of course recycle whats left after that:

368.jpg

369.jpg

370.jpg

Little beauty:

Slotting our cable management beast in:

374.jpg

Super stoked on this:

Finally for this update in goes the slot loading blue-ray:

That's all guys and girls. Was great, getting very close now. Loads of progress.

Until next time... What did you have/will have for dinner tonight?
