Overclocking with the Mach 2 ST in general

W00t, well i have my P4 running at 3.45ghz on stock air cooling running aquamark as we talk, 230FSB was the first thing i tried.

Howvere i dont know how to set up this 4:3 ratio people have spoke of, if its any help i have an asus P4C800-E Deluxe

EDIT: I have it running at 5:4 now, which is better than 3:2 i guess :D

seems ive hit my peak, with the standard cooler, ive hit 3.6ghz, ram running at 192 (5:4) at 2-3,3,6 FSB is 240

@ 1.575v core its running 34deg C CPU on idle

EDIT: Doh, just rebooted itself, upped the core to 1.6, any other ideas?

coz the core gone up so has the temp, its now 37deg idle, good enuf?

With the abbove settings it fails prime 95 within a minute or so lol

not sure i cant rememver where i put the box, will find it later.

I have it running at 3.45ghz prime stable atm with 1.6 thru the core.

Its not too stable at 3.6 not sure why. Any recomendations?

Maybe it will just need a good ol' burn in, it does the trick for me ;)

If you are using AS5, it heard that it needs 200 hours for it to 'settle' in. Maybe that could help.

Your using a stock cooler, so overclocks arnt going to be huge.

yeah thats true, well i didnt see the point in getting a decent fan wen im upgrading to phase change as soon as ive got the money. Anyway 3.45 (ill probably up it a bit tonight to like 3.5) is notiveably faster than my XP 3200 so im very happy :D

Its trying to get a memory divider of 4:3 on these lower overcloks thats so hard. my PC 3500 ram is only running at 184x2

Is that on air?

The SL6WUs seem to clock arround 3.7 to 4ghz on air, so i dont know how yours compare to that

well i was running at 3.6ghz (aint tried faster) at only 38 deg, at 1.6v but it just didnt seem too stable, i think i possible need to change another setting but i dont know, ill go home and try using the built in A.I if i can clock up 30% and run at 3.9ghz with their suggested ram settings, then obviously i just need to fiddle. But remember im using the retail fan it comes with which looks monsterous but aint the best performer id guess :P
