Overclocking Nvidia 9800GTX+

Hey, I was wondering how high I can O/C my 9800GTX+, I was going to buy the Super Clocked edition from newegg, which apparently is clocked to CORE:756MHz/ MEMORY: 2246MHz, but I bought the same product from another store instead.

When I run the EVGA Precision it shows that my card is at CORE: 756 SHADER: 1836 MEMORY: 1123. I was wondering what the heck is going on but I figured I might as well O/C it. Has anyone here o/c'd this card before? If so how high have you gotten it? :yumyum::yumyum::yumyum:

It says Memory=1123 because it's half of 2246.

It's how the DDR/2/3 world works. :p

I dunno how high it can clock though :(

To save some time just look up the most overclocked store card and then go from there.

Yes, it is always a nice indicator as brands tend to give their cards only mild OC's...

I dont know how high you managed to clock your 9800 gtx. My experience is that the non 55nm gtx's clocked very well indeed. I had mine when i was benching at 820 MHz on the core and forget the other numbers, and this was fine and not volt modded on air. At the moment i have stepped down to 771 Core, 1944 Shader and 2300 on the Memory. This was the highest overlocked evga card at the times bios that i flashed my card with. At the moment its under water at 35 degrees in a loop with my cpu so pretty cool still.

Same card I have and love it EVGA 9800GTX+ Superclocked. Have my OC set @ Core825, Shader2004, Memory1200, FAN 100. I've notice if I use my hotkey to assign this OC profile sometimes the fan wont spin up to 100%, but remain at stock. When that happens I start to see artifacts or studdering, eventually it will lock up around 80c. Fan @100%never gets above 60c. I haven't really messed with it that much to see what more I can get out of it. Just make sure you set your fan yourself. DON'T leave it up to EVGA.

My stock core is 778 1890 1123 35, and has been removed from production EVGA 512-P3-N874-AR. The Superclocked you mentioned has a slight lower clock.
