Overclocking Dissertation questionnaire

Hi fellow OC3Der's

As you may have gathered, I am doing a dissertation on overclocking for my BSc degree, whether or not overclocking is worthwhile in the long term as well as individuals methods of going about overclocking and which components they like to overclock and the manufacturers people like to use.

Questionnaire below

Google Docs Questionnaire

So if I could get a few responses for my questionnaire, which is my main research, I would very much appreciate it indeed.

There are one or two questions that may require some minor double checks of your system, I do not wish to take up too much of anyone’s time, so just give a rough answer if time is short, precise answers are obviously preferred.

If anyone is curious, I shall post my finished assessment here (seems OC3D is my preferred forum of its type), seems nobody goes for such a niche for their dissertation.

Thanks for your time

As it's for your education I will comply and have completed your dissertation questionnaire. Good luck.

Thanks a lot, Thats absolutely fine Shaun, that only gives me more variance in the data which opens up opportunities for more analysis. So it's absolutely no problem :)

Amazingly I've had 20 responses, I would never have guessed, although this is at Bit-Tech too.

Done! Loved your last question, used 504 USD as a guidepost amount as I am USD based and Bloomberg says exchange of 1.68 right now.

I think I could get a full loop in for that with one Graphics Card.

Done, I hope you enjoy my response to the last question. ;) Gotta keep thinking out of the box.

Haha, I did chuckle at that for a bit indeed.

Haha, your cutting it a bit close.

I did try intentionally to cut it quite close with whether or not it is possible to get a reasonable loop in there. I just priced up the following from scan.co.uk for £290:

8 x Monsoon 13/10mm (ID 3/8" OD 1/2")
1 x EK-Supreme LTX - Acetal CSQ
1 x EK-FC770 GTX - Acetal Full-Cover
1 x EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES
1 x EK-CoolStream RAD XT 360
1 x EK-Ekoolant Blood RED 1000mL
3 x 120mm Silverstone SST-AP122
1 x Masterkleer 59193 tubing PVC 12.7/9.5mm (3/8"ID) clear 3.3m

You could of course then just have a CPU or GPU loop with the more premium blocks EK have

Huge thanks to everyone for the responses, 46 there were in total, with some interesting results.

As there was no personal information in the questionnaire, no names will be mentioned within my dissertation. People are welcome to have a copy of the Excel document if they are curious of the results received.

Any more responses will no longer count, hence why questionnaire is closed

(note: sorry for the double post)
