Thats a joke, didn'e realise that compitiotion winners had to pay Vat on there prizes?? ''£500'' what that 50% VAT?? lol
an'y believe some of these prizes go to some of these ''OC3d'ers'', guess it's forum rules that EVERYBODY has a chance.
p.s., if this sounds ...,, i'm ****ed from a nite out at uni.. didn'y get any rat tonight.. lol

tbh, i think comps like this should be exclusive to active OC3D members, I understand its a huge prize and alot of people want it but since hes done a runner, F him 
Maybe have like a min of 100 posts, could get alot more new members who join for the prize to actaully post.

Was thinking the same but the whole point of the comp was to get more members and activity up. That worked but shame that the computer went to someone who is now lacking in activity.

The problem is that the large majority of those that'll join the forum for the competitions won't have much interest in posting regularly so any increase in activity would only be temporary. I would have thought that it were the articles, reviews and news from the website that attracts more regular posters?

No you don't have to pay VAT for your prize, but I believe it was in the contract he signed... If he sells the case he has to pay VAT. And I think Tom assumed the normal 17 (?) % VAT here.name='cl0ck_ed' said:

Ive heard nothing but 'it arrived' we had a feeling he would sell it and he was told about the VAT if he sold it and that we specifically required photos of it built for the sponsors. Id have been happy if I got pics of it, but nothing. Kinda makes me wonder what the point was, I paid for that case with my own money, no marketing budget here, I crammed in overtime at work to get the money together for it all.
Ill have tighter rules for my website launch compo. I want to make sure one of the regulars gets the goodies this time.
