Overclock3D were given an opportunity to spend some time with Atomic Magazine, Gigabyte United Inc and their GA-X38-DQ6 motherboard. Oh...and a little bit of dice :p

Read on

I`m not too up on the ASUS/MSI variants of the X38, but other than differences of ddr2 vS ddr3, the other seem pretty similar.

From the capacitor impacts, slot spacings and so on.

Great that Gigabyte have such meets tho, for me these sorta things should be held on a more wide basis, meaning more of them and more manufs. But I guess that can take a bit of the special-ness away from it to an extent.

Used to love Gigabyte (or is it Gigibyte now ?) gfxcards, with their excellent passive cooling. Sure they still do them, but it tends to be on cards I`m not after grrrrr!

Nice thread m8 :)

Fantastic write up pvs, im rather jealous

Sun, Dice and other peoples hardware to ruin... i mean play with. What more could you want:)

Nice little read there :)

Beautiful country you live in mate.

I was expecting more in terms of the OC'ing! Giga don't 'do' anything for me but it is always good to see manufacturers doing things like this

We should have asked them why they always consult Zippy, Bungle & George when choosing the motherboard colours ;)

Thanks mate, Aus is ok I guess. Yeah I would have loved more of the OC'ing side of things too, but time unfortunately didn't allow for it. Hopefully I'll get in for the OC'ing championships at WCG08

That was an interesting write up looks like fun. Looks like they have some interesting features just sad they have some BS features too.

Thanks Kemp. It was great being able to represent OC3D in an official news capacity; thank you for having enough faith in me to cover it :)
