hey guy/girls I am having a problem with my overclock my system spec is a AsRock G41M-S3 OC1333, Core 2 Duo E6700 (FSB1066), 1333 G-Skill (OC 685MHz Max on timings). So far I have got the cpu up to 3.42GHz and a FSB of 1370 my voltage is at VTT Voltage 5.0 CPU Voltage 1.50000 when I run Prime95 it will freeze up or just restart I am not sure if I should keep going up in voltage my temps are at 38 - 42C idle not sure what it will be on load since prime won't run the setting on prime is for max heat and power. I am also hoping that the voltage will be safe. I hope someone here can help me out if I missed some info let me know and I'll give it to you.

on an e6700 you shouldnt need anything near 1.5Vcore on the cpu.. hell i only needed 1.35Vcore for 3.6ghz on an q6600 24/7.

its all motherboard dependant and also what you chip can do tbh i never used an asrock board for overclocking and im not familier with the bios also i never messed with VTT.

personally i never overclocked ram either i kept it seperate as it was more stable that way try running the memory at stock and just clocking the cpu once you get that stable then you could look at memory clocking...

Would you suggest I change the VTT or the CPU. The ram timing by stock is set for 685MHz I assume (CPU-z).

edit: I dropped the ram down to 333 and that didn't do anything I dropped the VTT to 1.35v prime just stops right away cpu volt is 1.50000 - Dram Volt 1.53 - GTLRef Volt 0.63vtt - NB Volt 1.251 . as of right now I'm stuck on this I will post some screen shots.

if your at 1.5v in bios and its showing as 1.392v in cpuz you have some nasty vdroop without me being infront of your pc and being able to go into bios i cant help i dont know how your bios is configured and overclocking is different on every cpu...

its pretty hard i treid googling your motherboard and alot of results just pointed out that the g41's are terrible overclockers and only manage on average a 5% overclock...

tbh if i was you i would reset bios defaults before you push the limits of your cpu and brick it...

Those pics are with VTT at 1.35 but CPU Voltage is at 1.50000 I really appreciate the help and advise I'm not use to having to mess with the voltages. I hope you could help me a bit ill grab my cell and take some pics of my bios screen if that would help at all.
