This is getting a bit ridiculous.
Don't ever make a connection between mainstream Sunni or Shi'a Islam and the rubbish that bin Laden and Al Qaeda preach.
Someone here is being well out of line with comments aimed at other people.
I'm Muslim, and I can assure you I don't go around wanting to murder every American I see, nor do I particularly want to wipe out the west, I'm lucky enough to live in a particularly nice part of England.
I don't know where you have heard this, or who told you things like this, but even FOX News is not going to twist things in this kind of way. The first line is an absolutely absurd comment to make.
First off, Liverpool is a city, not a school.
On the historical aspect, a lot of ideas and new technology came out of the Arab world a few hundred years ago. 'Algebra' is an Arabic-derived word itself. There was freedom, but complete freedom is rare in any country, today or in history.
The US prides itself on freedom of speech, those who want Sharia law are a minority, much like the BNP in England. You can happily ignore them.
Also bin Laden has not killed millions, he has killed thousands though through his actions.
A million is a ridiculous exaggeration unless you want to blame him for the US going into Iraq and Afghanistan and killing innocent civilians, however unintentionally.
Anyway, points I would like to raise on bin Laden's death:
- The most powerful country in the world took 13 years to find him
- They then killed him straight away which is strange, even with Saddam they brought him into custody alive
- He was found 2 hours (60km) from Islamabad in a $1m compound in an affluent area of Pakistan
- The compound was less than 1km away from Pakistan's biggest military training camp
I suppose some element of the Pakistani military is corrupt. Also remember that the bin Laden family is ridiculously rich, Osama was one of 52 or so children, but his father was a millionaire, now that company he founded earns billions of dollars in construction. So bribery is not out of the question. Also remember there are sympathetic elements of Pakistani society to bin Laden's 'cause'.
