Origin account compromised

Was rumored they got hacked about a month and a half ago.

Enough attention and reports that someone reported a small article on it.. not the best source but a quick google search.

Well so far I have a 16 letter/number password in upper and lower case and email authentication in place as well as my email account having a 30 letter/number password in upper and lower case.

So if they can get through all that I would be amazed seeing as EA encrypts the passwords stored on their servers.

Whether or not you are an EA/origin customer, you should try their online help. It's like being back in 2001, you may as well be clicking a dead button. They never reply, never. Even after you follow the routine line of enquiry, you're taken to a page that asks you to describe your problem and leave contact details only to be embraced by silence infinity.

On a side note, which language is the oc3d text dictionary/thesaurus/library set to ?
I'm getting a bit annoyed at the red squiggly line under proper English.

Never had a problem with EA customer service. I was on and off the phone within 10mins talking the whole time with a guy about my account. Fixed the problem as well.

The language is UK English. Not US. Some words are different.. not really a big deal tbh.

Yeah, your right, I should change my password to 'stallinblewhitler1939allnightlong'. With any luck, they'll crack it.

That's your own browser settings, nothing to do with the site unfortunately.

How do we test that, because I don't get it when I write 'oc3d' which is clearly not a word in any language (including 8 out of 10 cats do countdown) yet I get it with, say for example, 'Enquiry' instead of 'Inquiry'.

I think i got that email bye mistake cause in the beginning of the email it goes Hi with a bunch of letter & numbers.

Stupid EA

Aye, you're probably still a row in a database somewhere that's been 'cleaned' of your vital stats but not your email address, so some dumb script probably just read it and sent it out. Bit poor on EA's part tbh
