ordering a gpu today, what to choose ?

the nvidia hack, is that just a .exe that you run and u'r done ?

i'm on it, thx again everyone, i'll do a review of it since u cant find one anywhere.

edit: looks pretty simple, so i turn of the intgrated gpu, run the patch, turn of my pc, put the 460 in and boot up ?

why do you need to do that to run one card on at ati board?

i ran a 4890 on my current board no issues

i don't know, i'm really not that into pc's yet, i only got my own pc 2 monts ago, didn't even build it myself

can someone plz give my a to do list from opening the 460 box to playing some games ?

If you are using an existing GPU and have already installed Windows then download driversweeper and be sure to remove all existing display drivers properly after removing them with the control panel or better still, Revo Uninstaller.

Shut down the PC DO NOT reboot it, Windows will put in a display driver.

Ground yourself, side off the case, fit the card, plug in the PCIE power cables. Reboot the PC and install the latest driver from Nvidia. 260.99 or something IIRC.

Install a game, get a nice cold can of coke or whatever your fave beverage, enjoy.

ok sound simple enough, except for the coke part, broke a laptop once while drinking and computering at the same time
