Hi Guys,

I'm in need of a certain part from an old or dead Silverstone modular PSU. It's probably a shot in the dark, but if anyone has one I'd be willing to pay some cash.

I'm interested in any modular PSU that has this kind of connector interface:

It specifically needs at least two PCI-E Connectors, 24-Pin ATX and several Molex's.

Those the connectors that are the same on both ends ?

Yeah thats the ones. Tho its the actual PSU i'm after rather than the cables.

Jim gave silverstone an email about it??

As there pretty good when it comes to spares and what not when i aske them about braiding on my psu, they turned round and said it wont void the warranty and i can get a set of spares cables anytime i want from them, they should have access to the spares your in need of.

Yeah that was my first stop unfortunately. They return any duff units direct to the factory (otherwise they don't get their money back).

Also all of the newer modular Silverstones have a different interface (no molex connectors), so its not like I can even buy a new unit :(

Wouldn't it be better to butcher dead hardware than a functioning PSU?

I can get 24pin ATX, 4 pin and probably the 8 off mobos. I bet someone will have a dead GPU or 2 (iirc stu had a dead 9800GX2, but that could be my imagination). And molexs can be got from KPC or a few 4-3 pin converters?

Main problem is the backplane circuitboard on those is designed to cope with high amperage. If I was to buy/salvage the female connectors I'd have to run large wires to them :(
