Ok im gonna need lots of help on this one. I can get ahold of a copy of Windows Server 2003 or w/e it is and i currently have XP Pro Corp. We (as in my friend and i) have a server thats
PIII 1gig
512mb PC133
30gig ATA133hd
80gig ATA100hd
DVD burner
Intel Mobo
4X AGP TNT2
Really all its used for is dedicated gaming and file sharing. We use DC++ at LANs to distribute patches that weve downloaded and all and have YnHub. I dont know how to use YnHub though.
Ok my question here is, would it be better to use the XP Pro i know how to use, or use Windows Server? I cant use Linux or anything like that cause none of us know how to use Linux.
Also, does anybody know how to use YnHub so i can have my LAN mates connect to my server through DC++? Im a n00b at this whole server thing but i thikn it would be even better if i could take full advantage over it. I believe anybody will agree that Windows file sharing isnt the greatest and is slow
Any thoughts?
