well after a well prepared case frame of a cm 690, i had etched the frame and all was good

until i painted the frame in color. the color is lifting in areas like is was paint strippered. SOB!

after checking the base coat we were good and then the second coat and blam! the areas

were lifting off the etch or the etch was lifting from the frame. dunna know all still wet.

and it is not just to one area, the inside base, lower case, top and rails. this real boinks!

&%#*@&%+(@%&(@! anyway, i guess i'll check tomorrow and see the real damages.

anyone know of a complete stripper potion?

you could ask a powdercoating place to put it in their chemical bath

I would get it chemically cleaned as well as get it professionally done. Most family owned or small auto body paint shops will do other things other that car work if you just ask.

i've check the cans (rustolum) and they are for metal and dont seem to conflict

each other for compatibility.

i priced some sand-blasting just on the frame... $45.00 for 20-30min work.

its already 80grit sanded.. thats robbery for that kinda work.

i've got my drill and rivot gun ready, if i have too..

45 dollars i could buy a cm 690 II for 74 shipped...

i figure a good stripper (the paint kind...) and some elbow grease, i can

re-try painting.. again

Sand blasting does a FAR batter job than sand paper. Blasting gives a more even finish and gets into places paper cannot.

yeah, well i bent over to the blaster.. geeze this hurts. but as a consolation, he offer to powder

coat for the materials. i had let him know i might have 2 800d, a couple Lian-Li and other cases

for him to ream me over and all i'll have to do is tear them down and reassemble.

i know, hand-sand cant match blasting. but you know i test fired those cans and they did not

lift on a test piece. weird..
