OCZ Agility 3

Hi All,
Ive bought myself an OCZ Agility 3 from Ebuyer but when I went back into Ebuyer I noticed they have 2 of the 120GB ones listed. The one I purchased says its a 20nm that's about the only difference from the 2 I can see other than the price of mine which was £2 cheaper.

Is there any difference?

Thanks :).

Makes no real speed difference the controller is important of 22 or 20 or 18 nand makes no real difference.

Nope both pants

Lol. I bought one a few months ago and today I put it in my brother in law's laptop so when he came to get it I just said to order me a replacement. After looking around a few reviews maybe it wasnt such a good idea :(.

Thanks for the info rossi thats put my mind at rest (a little) anyway :)

Replacement? I would recommend the Samsung 830 or 840 PRO both are not really expensive and very fast.

Intel uses Sandforce contoller in their latest drives. In the old fast ones they used a own chip design. Would prefer the crucial, samsung or corsair neutron.

Yes. Just Intels and Samsung produced their own controllers. (But the latest Intel drives are using Sandforce too.)

Crucial use Marvell controllers?

Samsung use their own...
So do OCZ now - although nothing by that company should ever ever be bought.

Intel do use Sandforce, but collaborated with Sandforce to produce the controllers in their drives and so they are more reliable than any other Sandforce drive.

Sorry my mistake thought they were using Sandforce too. If you're going for the 840 watch out to get the PRO version, which is using mlc instand of tlc.
