OC3D newsletter?

well, just got the newsletter for the first time, and not meaning to be rude or mean or the like, but it was a bit boring.

Now, before you flame me, the content was fine, nice job, some good things coming in the future. BUT it lacked any layout, was a simple text email. Reading it was hard going - not because of spelling or punctuation errors, but that it was blocks of text.

Now I understand that some email systems react badly to html, but could we get the option of one with some pretty pictures?

Otherwise, keep up the good work guys :worship:

ill add some formatting options so the writer can make it look more interesting. only problem is that i dont use html mail, so me personally can see why it was written in text, but yes the blocks were a lot to take in.

Yeah I agree its a bit dull but a lot of e-mail filters just block HTML mail straight out - the reason why we did it like that

Like that in the top of the email? then its hosted for a week, then deleted.

Unfortunately the forum software can't send out messages in html (it shares my views on html mail ).

However, there is a lot that can be done to make plain text look nicer - either that or as Ham said, a link to a html version - or maybe a Word attachment?

HTML attachments are shown inline in most e-mail proggies, so it would look a bit stupid.

Did you possibly choose not to recieve email from administrators in your profile?

Receive OC3D News Team E-Mail is set to yes.

receiving mail from members and admin is also set to yes.

i dont have any spam filter or antivirus program that can have filtered it out.

i also recieved a news letter some time ago without problems and have made no changes since then.
