This is pretty cool :D

Where do you guys get most of your news from? underground sources? Manufacturers?

This would be a cracking job for someone whos into the IT industry :D

Yeah pretty much mate. Manufacturers will give us exclusives from time-to-time. like the OCZ NIA. We also get press releases from them too. Quite a bit is hunted down from reading on the net as well

We've got a mailbox that gets spammed full of manufacturer news on a daily basis. Part of the news team members responsibility is to go through that mailbox, pick out the good stuff and write it up. We also encourage that news team members check out all other tech news sites and liaise with manufacturers directly. Rewards are given for using intuitive and performing full writeups of interesting news.

Occasionally there are also chances to meet with manufacturers such as Intel and attend press events. Expenses for these events are paid for by us.

Wow, that sounds seriously nice, but I know that I just don't think i'd be able to keep on top of it.

Would their be any possibility of some of us forum members being able to put news stories up, but not be permanant news reporters.

This would obviously be unpayed but if we found a good story rewards could still be dished out?

Its something that we'll definitely consider, but our primary concern at the moment is getting a member in who will be able to post a consistent level of news.

If you do get any exclusive news though or you want to share a lead with us, we'll certainly reward you if it turns out to be something good :)

Im really, really, really interested, but only thing I am worried about if I cannot always get interesting news to you guys. Is there any possible way I could do it for a few days and then see if I can do it forever.

Thats what Im worried about, I get quite a few interesting bits off the various forums, but I dont think it would be enough, hence my idea :D

Our target for news team is 28 posts+ a month. To put it into perspective PV did over 60 this month, so it is easily possible (it just means you gotta beat PV to it :p).

There is a bit of training involved before we could let you crack on and start writing, so if you fancy giving it a try before committing, maybe you could do some write-up's in word, send them over and we'll upload them?

Well only problem i have is that i do not know where to start. Have couple of article I can start on, but they will be too short, such as release of products.

Fire us an email over first please Hassan, just make sure you include a short mock article (150 words max) and we'll take it from there.
