OC3D Clan/Server future. (was: wtf?)

Calm down guys. The OC3D servers are now, afaik, being administrated by the TLR Clan. The reason for this move was because Jim no longer has time to deal with the servers as well as OC3D. The TLR Clan are now taking care of them, but they are still our OC3D pub servers. 'Chefinal' should be the main man to speak with on the server
They had one before.
I wouldn't imagine that they are taking over completely. Jim wanted a new head admin. I guess TLR guy said he'd do it if he could put his clan in the name with OC3D.
If i remember, he will have complete control ovber the admins, but he shouldn't get rid of you guys and only use TLR, that would make him a douche.
EDIT: here's the guy, you should PM him and ask what's happening. TBH he should have sent a message out to all the current admin telling them what was up, any changes he was making etc. http://forum.overclock3d.net/member.php?u=10295

I have just been opn the server and unless you are - Croatian, Serbian, or Bosnian you will not understand a thing, coupled with the fact that you have to swear prolifically and be racist in order to take part makes admin responsibilities a real treat.
There are alot of regulars who are from the above mentioned countries, but they cant get along with each other. Numerous polite requests for them to go to a chatroom and talk later and still no joy.
I sent a couple of private messages to the main culprit - kicked him once only for him to come back and threaten to destroy the server.
He is now banned.
I know we cant be on 24hrs but I am wondering whether its time to call it a day and put CSS back on. Alot of more profesional players have moved to other servers and you will be lucky to find anyone speaking english on it now.
Another option would be to disable CHAT.

I hate the big server for the reasons you stated...so i no longer visit at all
#2 server is either empty..full of hackers or people from the #1 server whining
i agree css as a game is a lot more mature, but its mainly for oc3d to advertise really, all i can see happening is perhaps pull the #2 server (unless we wanna put together a competitive clan and use it as clan server..anyone?) and perhaps substitute with a popular stock maps rotation css server..

The server is no longer advertising OC3D as it is named TLR -Clan. I kind of agree on the number 2 server being used for CSS, but think it does have better gameplay when a decent bunch are on and they speak english.
I find it hard to want to play on the .85 server for the reasons mentioned, but do try and police it now and again only to get a little frustrated at times.
Competitive clan server sounds fine but then you need commitment and I don't think people have the time anymore. It would be good to see though.
I am not going to advertise here but I do often have some very good games on a couple of other servers, with a lot more "mature" gameplay - if you want to know which pm me. I am very loyal by nature so would like to see OC3D continue but think "We (OC3D)" should really consider a viable solution for the .85 server.

I know I'm coming into this a little late in the thread, but I just wanted to let you all know what I'd like to see on the game servers.
1) A good community again. When the OC3D clan was in its prime people visited the servers just to play with the clan and chat to other regulars.
2) Dedicated admins and a chief admin. This can fall in-line with the recreation of the OC3D clan. Once again back in OC3D clan prime days, me and Dav0s were head admins on the servers with the rest of the 'A' team and some of the 'B' team also having admin privelages.
3) Popularity. The above two undoubtedly tie in with this, but also we need to recognise that the game servers are also a useful advertising tool to OC3D and if they're empty because they've been "over fiddled with", that's no good either.
There is nothing more I'd like than to have a PROPER OC3D clan back again and give it the support it needs. Someone needs to take the reigns though and be DEAD serious about it. If new servers need setting up, thats cool by me.

If i had the knowledge, you would have a candidate, but alas, I'm not so hot on that stuff.
Catching cheaters, and telling people off is definitely something I could do. It would even give me a reason to get back into CS:S. Your server was the main reason I joined here actually.

I am so up for a proper clan
I can play most evenings etc. and i like to think im a trustworthy guy - hell i felt like 1/2 people policing the cod4 servers and i think we did a grand job (not saying it was just us)
The only thing is, id be fine with basic admin/responsibilities but i cant fully commit myself/be relied upon for crucial server operation
