Here we go! I looked around on the net for a long time with out any results. And the topics i found, people said that it wasn't possible to fit a 200x200x20mm fan on the side panel together with the gigantic Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler. But stubborn as i am, I decided to order a fan to try it out and just use it as a top exhaust fan if it did not work out afterall and this is the results and how to do it yourself WITHOUT having to drill ANY holes for the fan!!

This is what you need:

  1. A 200x200x20mm fan. I used the Xigmatek XLF 200mm LED fan but i know that Bitfenix sells 200x200x20mm fans aswell (Note, ONLY a 200x200x20mm fan will fit, 200x200x30mm will be too wide!!)
  2. 4x rubber fan mounts (included with the Xigmatek fan, not sure about the Bitfenix one)
  3. A tiny flat screwdriver
  4. Patient!!

How to do it!:

  1. Make sure that the fans on your NH-D14 doesnt stick out more then the heatpipes

  2. Mount the rubber mountings on the fan and place the fan on the sidepanel. Then grab your screwdriver and get ready for the hardest part

  3. Use the screwdriver to push the round end of the rubber fan mounting throug the 230mm fan mounting holes. This is the anoying part. It may take some time to get it through but it went pretty quick for me when i figured out how to do it. Its a very big piece of rubber to get through a very small hole but atleast it wont fall off, and you wont have to drill any new holes!

Be careful so you dont damage that beautiful paint job too much!

The end result!

Now just mount the sidepanel, make sure the fan doesnt hit anything. Just blow on it and check if it spins around then connect the fans and ENJOY!

I dont think you got a single mm more to spare! So if you want to use a dustfilter, im sorry but i very much doubt that it will fit

Nice I use a 140mm fan screwed on by one screw with my tt frio but think I'm gonna give this a go thanks for showing us

The side panel cooler used to grab me an extra 2-3C cooler temps but one night it decided to rattle against my fenrir and i woke up in a huff and literally ripped the fann off the case ....oops

Both the D14 and A70 are 160mm in height according to their spec pages; so the A70 will fit, but maybe like DeathTrip2K the filter might not fit.
