[NZXT Phantom 820] Project X-1996

Your shoppinglist at Komplett.dk is a mess Fredrik - Clean-up?
Have u decided on the Ax760i?
See that u have chosen a 60GB Force Series 3 SSD.
U might wanna go for at least 128GB for your OS and your most popular programs. Would also suggest a change to the Force Series-GT.

I forgot to upload it for a while, I've only got it fully updated and I will be doing a major update to the shopping list today.

Time for another update!

Changelog:

  • Replaced H220 with H100i
  • Replaced Phantom 630 with Phantom 820
  • Removed Cable Sleeves
  • Updated Fan Overview
  • Replaced Corsair SSD Force Series GS 240GB 2.5" with Corsair SSD Force Series GS 128GB 2.5"

Okay then time for the update of all the updates!

I've changed mostly all of the parts for the build and gone with the white 820. You might be asking yourself.. Why would he do that?

Well I've got an offer I cannot refuse, a friend of mine in Germany is selling the 820 to me for £50!

Also went all Watercooling and so on, check it out!

Now for the things that I didn't add to the list yet but will be soon, is the UJ-235A Blu-ray slot loading Drive, and the
SilverStone FP58 Slim Slot Load Drive Bay.

Next thing, the XSPC Raystorm!

I will be taking the black "top" cover off and painting it white. Why? Because not alot of people has done that :P

That's it for now peeps!

Note: I know it's supposed to be 45° fittings, and not 90° fittings :P

Accesories

Few issues with the watercooling.

The pump from the kit you've listed isn't powerful enough for 2 blocks. You need a D5 really, and there's not really any getting around that.
Also, as it's a pump/res combo anyway, not sure why you've mapped out for the two to be put in separate locations.

The blocks are absolutely fine.

Fittings, we tend to prefer 1/2 inch barbs with 7/16 tubing over compression fittings. They just look better really. But that's your choice.

The rads - you're running 2 30mm thick rads, in a case big enough to support 80mm thick rads in both places. I'd be looking at minimum of 60mm thick rads as you can fit them really. Massive waste not to really.

XSPC do do a D5 pump/res combo (2 actually) which are alright. You should look into them if you want a bay res. If not, it'd look quite a lot nicer to get a tube res and pump top in there.

Maybe put the 240mm up the front as well as it'll make bleeding easier

As James said, you're definitely going to need a D5, especially with that bottom rad. You're also better off going with Alphacool UT60s (360 and 240).

Regarding the tubing/fittings, I think its less of "we" and more of Tom and a few others that prefer barbs. I personally think compression fittings look significantly better :p. What my point is, to each there own. As long as you get what you think looks good and have the correct sizing, you can't really go wrong.

I've completely changed the watercooling specs again(3rd time, thanks James ). But my point is that I'll have that fixed sometime. :p

One thing is that I'll probably be going for a completely diffrent case, as the one I was getting was already sold.

Anyway, so I'm on the hunt for a new case, either going to be something completely diffrent or S810 or the P630.
