Nvidia GTX970 SLi or GTX980Ti

As i have said i have already made my mind up, I'm going to be buying one soon and once Pascal launches i will end up getting a second one for SLI.

IMO the GTX980Ti has plenty of life still left in it.

Plus i'm not buying into the Hype of Pascal not until we see real world tests.

I don't think Pascal or Polaris will be anything special when they launch as it will be the mid range cards that come first. If this is the case they will be barely faster than a GTX 980 Ti. This will also be bad news for anyone who has been waiting or worse still has spent money on something like a 970 to keep them going when they could of saved money by buying a GTX 980 Ti in the first place.

The other shocker with Pascal is we could see the Titan version before the other big Pascal versions. This could mean people having a stark choice of paying a lot of money for the Pascal Titan or waiting a long time for the Pascal equivalent of the 980 Ti.

I think I used the wrong word when I said "lifespan", of course the GTX 980Ti is not in the end of its lifespan, what I wanted to say is that after NVIDIA launches a new Graphics card the GTX 980Ti is going to lose value because is not going to be the top card anymore.

But of course you will get great performance out of the card and you made your mind so just be happy with it and enjoy it.

I just gave my opinion because you said you don't have the money yet, and that you need to sell two other cards you have so in that situation I think you'll have a more "future proof" card.

It's going to be a low end Pascal or the Pascal Titan first, I'm sure i read somewhere that Nvidia said that Pascal is going to use 50% less power i'm sorry i don't buy that maybe 25% i can't see them doing that, that quick.

Yes but the problem is if i wait i will not get the money i want now, I know what these GPU's are worth here and i know i will get the money i want for them.

IMO the top end Nvidia card is the Titan X not the GTX 980Ti unless you're talking about in terms of gaming, About the value that doesn't bother me cause when i get the GTX980Ti i don't plan on changing for about 4 years or maybe 5 years that is why i said i will end up getting a second GTX980Ti once the prices drop so to me it will work out.

Yeah, what you say is true. But for me I'll have to wait for the next top cards, because we are passing real bad times for the economy here in Brazil and the currencies got really expensive to us nowadays, so my remedy is to keep waiting for the next GPUs go out and cheer for the economy get better.

And I see that Kings of the Old School is in a hurry to get a new card, so go for it.
