Just a week before launch, manufacturers have again confirmed the G80's specifications for both the GTS and GTX models. Who here is eagerly awaiting the release...and ready to part with the folding stuff for one? Feel free to let us know below.

i want one but have not got the cashage to get one

lol

i wonder if GFX cards are ever going to go over 600Mhz gpu clock standard

I just can not believe how massive these cards are... These things have to rival the old 3dfx dual GPU Voodoo's in length, my god.

@Harry: Some older lower end cards have gone over 600mhz core clock speeds out of the factory, it's just that they have very low-power cores which take a lot of clocks to make up for the inefficiency.

i bet the card weighs a good half a kilo, i had a 6800GT ultra and that was f**king heavy.

i cant wait to see some overclocking results

nice one for the comments frag

Theres no point in getting one yet...

All the consoles are Direct X 9 so there wont be any 10 games out for ages...

Halo 2 = Old news... Vista only!!

Crisis = an acception.

Flight Sim = I won't be buying... Same as all the others just more eye candy.. .Point?

:wavey:

I'll wait a couple of months before I buy, that way I can see how different cards stack up against each other. After I choose one of the later models, it will be time for an entire PC upgrade :)

I'll probably be keeping my case and 600W GameXstream PSU (quad +12V@18A :D), and probably optical, but I'll [eventually] be getting motherboard/ram/Core2 as well as a copy of Vista and a SATA2 HDD with NCQ.

I might have to replace my case if the Dx10 GPU proves to become a problem, but I'll have to see if an 18.9" depth is enough.

It hangs about ~1" or ~18mm off the back of the motherboard. Hehe, but nVidia finally changed styling.

The nVidia 680i Motherboard is pitch black w/black HS/F's and the 8800GTX on it looks amazing, as it is black with a black HS/F too.

Similarly DX10 will work on older cards, minus a few techniques that will take the game programmers 6months to a year to figure out.

The ploy will be to discount that tho so as to add to the surge for the new gfx cards/sales.
