not happy with computer temps !!HELP!!

humblingly

hi, i just recently got a new gaming computer and i have never had one before and i was wondering why the temps are so high or if their not high then i would like any suggestions for getting the temps down.

idle CPU 45 degrees under load up to 55 when under load
the GPU is 40 degrees idle and can go up 65 when under load

the specs are:

i3 2120 3.30ghz (with stock cooler)
XFX 6870 (stock)
MSI Z77 mobo
corsair cxv2 600
500 gb western digital HDD
4gb corsair ram 1333 mhz
and a cheap cd/dvd drive

all in a coolermaster elite 430 mid tower case. I only have one stock fan in the case. I think that the problem could be the case size, only having 1 fan and the CPU cooler being the stock cooler.

Any help would be just GREAT!

the idle temp isn't great but the load temps are absolutely fine. My 2500k is overclocked to 4.3 and is around 35 idle 65 load and my gpu also overclocked get's up to 77 degrees load. you're fine!

There isnt anything wrong whatsoever with that mate.

Maybe add one more fan in the case somewhere if you want a little better overall temps, but it may now effect things that much.

Maybe go for an aftermarket cooler to save your ears a bit, but there's nothing to be at all worried about.

the stock cooler is simply better at load than it is unloaded at removing heat because the fan spin speed is lower.
swapping to a none-reference cooler (nh-d14 for example, if a bit extreme) would lower them in line with expectations.

my stock amd cooler on my old rig ran at 50-55 deg idle, so yours are still lower lol
