whats it like? Where did you get it from?

Where I got it from will be useless to you...

But I can tell you what its like.

Well its a touch screen but its a bit gimmicky with the S60 OS as you need to be quite used to the interface.

Nice phone overall but I still like the iPhone as its just a lot more simpler!

i've had s60 for the last few gens so i should be ok.

Always good reviews at gsmarena ...

I just had a play with the BB Storm, I really like the tactile touch screen (much better way of interfacing as you 'click' the screen in to make selections but navigate the usual way using the touch screen. Prevents mistakes made by accidental touching.) Only downer is no wifi.

I'm leaning towards the 3g iphone now, obvious choice but it is slim, I can't avoid large when it comes to touchscreen so it HAS to be slim for me.

Can you do me a favour and update this with an impartial view once you have played with the handset for a bit???

Cheers and hope you like your new phone!!

will do indeedy!

most reviews say its a good start, but there are a few faults with it. But i'll see what its like when i get it.

Smithy... Take a look at the N97.. *is waiting for release*.

Think it's on O2 so if I don't like it when it's out I can just sell it and buy an Iphone 3G.

I looked at that too, but im not willing to spend £500 on a new phone. Decided im going for the no thrills £10 a month contract.

Well I wouldn't either, but my nice long 18 month contract ends with 3 on the 6th February. Could have upgraded in November but just want off 3 after 6 years of very little reception at home... Now with the new job, I get next to no reception there either. Have to change!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway, I'm gonna go on a simplicity type deal for a month or two until it comes out or just stay on 3 for 2 months... Dunno yet.

Definitely let us know how you get on though mate.. I was taking a hard look at the 5800 and read quite a few reviews.

Got one of these for free on a £15/month o2 contract on Saturday :)

got mine today, what do you think about it?

took me 10 minutes to transfer all my contacts, calendar entries, sms's, mms's, music and videos.

Gotta love the sync thing between to s60 phones.

I think it's great. I haven't really been into the whole s60 stuff for a couple of years since my 6630 broke, but I must say it's a cracking little phone.

The touch screen is really responsive, plenty of storage and music sounds great from both the speakers and earphones. (supplied earphones aren't spectacular but do a reasonable job.)

Wifi is great too, a little web browsing when I'm not at my computer is great.

yeah i agree, if you decide to check out the gps, i've found it works best without a-gps and the network thing. Saves you some pennies too.
