Noctua NH-C14 or D14

Just a simple question witch is the better or the 2 Noctua NH-C14 and Noctua NH-D14.

Using a Haf X case with a Assassin motherboard.

Note: they are the same proce at $117 AU

Which is the best one for you however may depend on which case and mobo your using them with.

also with the D14 would you get better colling by adding another fan at the end also can you add another fan?

That can also depend on your case but the guys that have done it here say it's only a couple of degree so not really worth the price of the fan.

In most cases there's normally a 120/140 case fan right next to where the D14 sits making it REALLY not worth it.

Thanks for your help i read a couple more reviews and it seems like the D14 run a little bit cooler tahn teh c14 and d14 is also quiter.

Tbh I don't understand how the C14 seemed to do better than the D14 in that review I found as the C14 is half the cooler the D14 is

crap joke, sorry.

But seriously, the fans have to be working harder to keep the fins cool so it should be louder but again that review didn't seem to think so.

Don't understand it.

But like I said at the start, in can depend what case and mobo your using as to which cooler is the best for you as some mobo's such as the sabertooth and the new MSI boards are designed to benefit from top down coolers but for most cases I'd have thought you where better with a D14.
