So I was looking forward to setting up a new rig over this Easter weekend. All the parts were delivered with the exception of the case (a Fractal Design Node 304) so that skewed things.
The reason for that is having a state owned and heavily unionized postal service that neither works on Good Friday (even though it's not a public holiday) or deliver post on Saturdays. So I've to wait until Tuesday at the earliest now.
But that didn't stop things. I ripped the switch out of an old case and got the stuff going on the desk. Although it's easy enough power it up too by just shorting the two power pin connector pins on the board together with a coin or something (I've used a molex pin the past), and it'll whirr to life.
Just sharing for those that don't know how to power up a motherboard outside of the case if it doesn't have a button on it. ^_^
