no news team?

if people dont agree then tell me,

alot of the reps people make on this forum are by suplling info on newlly released products or products that are being released.....

now that theres a 'dedicated' news team its hard for members to gain reps

if im rong then tell me but i belive that every one on the forum has the right to share information on products they know about
 
I think the news team should recieve reps.. I don't think they are getting reps for their news articles even now though! They still deserve reps for helping people :)

Come on guys.. Reps aren't that great, of course you can share information you have and you'll get reps for it, but you can't supply the info just because you want a reward ;)
 
i dont think its fare that regular users arnt allowed to post threads in the tech. forum.....

i aint bothered about reps at all im bothered that we cant post in the tech. forum!

i mean if we dont post in the right forum it getts deleated!
 
The Technology News section should only be for the News Team.. If you have news you want to post you can post it in the appropriate section on which it's based.
 
The news team is here to stay... it sounds like ur biggest complaint is reps yet you say it's not. If you have some technology news that you'd like to get in the tech news section just PM it to a member of the news team and they will give you proper credit for it when they post the information.

The best way to earn reps is by making useful guides and giving good advice to other members about helping overclocks and such.

I totally agree with FragTek and Austin on this one mate, and the news team is here to stay. If you want information posted then contact a news team member and they will give you the due credit. Personally, I just like to share information and knowledge because I enjoy doing it...not rep hunting. The reps are both reward and an acknowledgement of contribution, but not a necessary incentive for being helpful. Just my 0.02 cents worth. :)

Just to add a bit more on....Part of the reason you cant post in the tech news section is because we don't want duplicate news coming from all members.

You already asked me to put something up about the Saphire liquid metal cooling....but thats already here :o

And if you want you can find that thread and post up the news that you have in there.

If you have what is new news do what balilu or someone does and p/m or msn me and I'll put it up/Joe will pu it up.

I don't post in the Tech section for reps.....in fact I hardly get any reps at all from posting in there. I just wanna make sure SX/SX members keep up to date with all the hot gossip. :p

i do think the news team should be here to stay though.

Fair enough...as I said I don't do it for the reps or the green title or the other stuff...I would do it anyway...it just gives me an area to put it all together in!! :)

You did do it anyway before you got into the News Team. I also don't rep for stuff posted in the Technology News section.. You would have about 600 reps by now if people did :eek:
 
come on guys this idea about the news team is to keep everyone updated and those who look around the forum before they join they will see that they will get some great news and inforamtion very quick once it's out and they will likely to join. and about reps who cares about them. :D
