I hear that it can't be utilized with the high end cards as the onboard composter isn't beefy enough. Maybe on future boards we'll see the ability for the high end cards to co-exist donglelessly and perform well in the benchies!

Yes they will llwyd. A single X1600 Lies between the 6600GT and 6800, and according to an inq report it adds 50-60% gains having two atm.
